This story is the perfect excuse to be kind to everyone you come in contact with today. We don’t know what they might be going through or what life has put them through. To be fair, we all have bad days, but treating people with respect and kindness regardless of the situation goes a long way and this young lady proved that. Thanks Roche, Good Friday afternoon read.

Read this on seacoastonline today. What a story! great work by the woman to identify the signs and intervene. Hope the gentleman is able to get some help and support and turn things around.

What a great 'right place at the right time' story. I believe that most people would respond just as she did. At the core, humans take care of each other.

I agree with this. Most people have that nurturing spirit within them. Sometimes it just takes the right event to bring it out of you. I’m sure this young lady learned as much about herself as she did about this gentleman during this situation.

Great story and yes, depression and mental illness are real tough, much tougher than any physical pain. Thanks for sharing.

Was at Portsmouth Brewery last year while on vacation. What a great story, that shows how you never know when you can make all the difference in another's life.
