Hey BA, I was just sitting here, recovering from a long and laborious day with Brown Shugga', Yeti, and Celebration, and I was curious: how many beers you guys typically drink in a "session?

I honestly usually have a beer a night (and if I don't, it is replaced by a coffee or tea), but some nights call for a few in addition to that first delicious beer.

I had a Celebration and Brown Shugga' tonight too.
Typically I have either a 750 or a bomber. Then if I'm feeling up to it I'll have a 12oz nightcap. That's usually it.

It really depends how much alcohol. I usually average 4-6 beers a session.

Furthermore, how often do your sessions take place? Like I said, I average a session a night.

I usually stay up for 8 hours after I get home and have my first beer cracked an hour in, so probably 2-3 beers over 6 hours.

It's a good number too, because I usually drink higher ABV beers. If I drank them faster I'd probably be intoxicated most the time.

Yeah, I usually call my session (if it is one of those nights that I'm feeling like extending) when I get that nice buzz; that's when I know to call it a night and hit the hay.

I think four imperial pints is the minimum for a session. Anything less is just drinking a couple of beers.

I can actually agree with this, but they way the question was posed made me think he was asking how much do you drink in an average day.

    And 12 ounces isn't a beer, it's a sample.Or a dirty glass depending on your viewpoint.
Agreed, anything less than four pints is "just popping into the pub" or "having a quick one", the term "session" implies serious quantities.Though initially the appellation "session" to beer relates to the times the pubs were opened-two sessions a day. Happily we now have all day opening. One session a day from 11 to 11 perhaps?
