I'm trying to shed a few pounds so I'm only having a beer 4 times a week, but there was a very interesting article in last months BYO mag. 5-7 beers a week is really good for your "bad" cholesterol level, so I make it a solid effort to keep my health at its peak. ;)

Shit, i used to have about 2 beers a day for about six days a week. Giving my liver a break.

But that was when i weighed in at 246LBs. Since i started a pretty simple and effective diet in mid Dec, ive been drinking probably 2 beers a week. Thats seven days people! So its been pretty tough but well worth the sacrafice.

Weighed myself a couple days ago and came in at 225LBs. Looking to drop another 10LBs in Feb. But tonight is a cheat day so ive got some special bottles lined up for this evening with friends.

2-4 times a week. I average about 2 beers each night, unless I'm at a bar.

Three or four days a week, sometimes less. Almost always one twelve or half liter. Once in a while will have two. I have been known to have that party mode switch mentioned in another thread, so am very mindful especially at a gathering.

I drink approx 60 ounces per day seven days a week, miss maybe 3-4 days a yr due to whatever. Beer is a huge part of my life.

I don't post much so this is a good tip time: I work at Total Wine Boca Raton FL. Ask your TW beer guys/girls when all seasonals get reduced for quick sale. Some real gems get bought up by the staff and their buddies.

3-4 days a week , usually one 12 and a taste or two of whatever hubby opens. Almost none in summer, too much dangerous farm stuff going on to drink.

In spite of my busy work schedule and long commute (I currently live in Los Angeles), I drink beer 4-7 days a week. I also lose weight continually while doing it because I eat right. I'd like to see this common conception that beer itself prevents weight loss disappear. Acetate is a fuel just like carbs or protein. Beer for life. Ni neart go Guinness.

If you don't exercise enough beer does make you fat. Unless, of course, you're one of those people blessed with an awesome metabolism. By the way, even if you have one of those great metabolisms, it will change when you get older.

No it's true. I started working dayshift last April and every night I have a beer after work. The few times I didn't have a beer is when I went out of town and got home late.

I don't have time in my work schedule to exercise. I'm sedentary the entire week.

Eat nothing but lentils once a day - regardless of your age - and drink as much beer as you so desire. I assure you, sir, you will not gain weight. And your food supply will cost less than ramen. It is not a matter of metabolism; it is a matter of discipline (or of being as broke as I am).

In any case, it is not my intention to shift focus from the thread; many above have claimed that they drink less per week because they're trying to lose weight. I'm just pointing out that this implicit logic is common but flawed. "Beer bellies" have less to do with beer than they do with diet.

Used to be 1-2 nights a week after playing hoop. Since I caught the craft beer bug, I usually try a new beer just about every night.

How many days do I actually drink? Or how many days does my wife think I drink? Heheheh. Just kidding. 2 beers a night, usually only on friday and saturdays, but honestly lately it's been more. But that has to stop if I want to button my pants again!

I drink beer 7 days per week. Two years ago I would clear about one and a half crate of 24 bottles (300 ml) per week, then buy the next crate of whatever beer was on offer at the supermarket. Since I started drinking better beer, which most of the time happens to be higher in ABV as well, I drink about 2-3 per day, maybe 5-6 if I don't work the next day, or maybe 3-4 craft beers plus a couple of cheap pilsners (I give in to cravings easily  ).
As far as I remember, last year I didn't drink any beer for 15 days once because I was taking some pills and then again let's say 5 more days because I wasn't feeling like it or I didn't have any (shit happens).

I would say 5-7, but during the week it is usually only one or two or a bomber. There are some days when its more or if I pick up something that i haven't tried that I really like then i may have 3 or 4. There was a time when I was drinking nothing but Miller that i was drinking a lot more. Since I have discovered "Good" beer, I have cut down a lot. Quality is better than quantity any day. I am also a red Zin junkie so I may drink wine instead, or on top of, or with. I do have to say that if I do overindulge, the hangover with a good craft beer (for me a great DIPA) is not nearly what it is with BMC

During the week, in German tradition, I usually have a beer with my lunch, and a beer after work. Then on Saturdays I will often not drink any beers at all. On Sunday I usually have a few with my silent movies.
