How many people buying limited releases are on BA?

    I've always wondered how many people at releases/buying limited release as soon as its announced on Facebook are on BA. It always seems to me like a decent amount of people that I run into, looking for the latest limited at a store that just posted what they got, have no idea what BA is or what any craft brewery outside of their distribution is.

    You should separate people who are there for the hype and to look cool (same kind of people that camp in line for an iphone, mind you) and people who are there because they are actually there for a reason. For the second type of people I'd say a great part at least know what BA is and look around once in a while. But for the first type, they just need to look cooler than their friends, and maybe make some money on ebay.

    Not me...I don't fall for the hype. If a limited release makes it to the store shelf and I'm there at the right time, then I'll buy it if it's a beer that interests me. Hype, shmype! :stuck_out_tongue:

    Not everyone at the BASC were BAs. Some were untappd guys, others just around.

    I don't check facebook, but I buy all the limited releases I can from my favorite breweries and I don't care about limited releases from other breweries.
    It doesn't, but posting about your latest Vermont haul gives you BA cred.
