I easily would've spent $115 on that 4pack of Expo.

What did the Oracle 3 L end up going for?

The 4 packs of 95' expedition went for $115 and $145. 3 liter of oracle went for $250.

Too rich for my blood, but I did get 2 cases of black note and had two snifters of bba batch 9000. Good day

If you're referring to me, WOW. Wasn't being 'snarky,' just trying to ID the dude who won it. I saw a bunch of shorties there, so what. Way to presume man...

If Oracle is the same batch, wouldn't that be old(ish) by now? If not, wouldn't you want to drink that fairly quickly?

I think it was around $240, I may be wrong though.

$500 wasn't too crazy I guess. I thought it could have gone for way more.

So they still have BN at the General Store?

I took my kid to the Winter solstice so I have no problem with it at all. Expect to see us at a lot more events.

This is a completely honest question: Why would Kalamazoo Brewing Company auction off a two+ year old DIPA?

    They didn't, Bells did. Newb.

But a phenomenal question. What a waste of money IMO.

The steal of the day were the leftover sixers for $30 each...scored two of the eccentric 2006 which was amazing and cherry stout 2009 was no slouch. 14L's of vintage beer for $180 was a good day imo. Bells is a top notch establishment...oh an BA9k is still kick ass on tap

Yes, Eccentric Ale does get better with age. However, if you dislike it that much fresh I don't think aging will change it enough for you to like it.

Really depends on the year. The 02 was really quite enjoyable, I will agree that many of them just get more weird.

No way, the smoked meat trio was boss.

Batch 7000 was unreal, with BA Cherry, '99 Eccentric and '07 Expo as the top brews of the day.

To answer my own question, yes, when I left today around 2:00 MI time, the store had about 1/3 of a pallet left in cooler. Alas no Batch 7000.....

It was a cool event however the 99 eccentric ale tasted like a bottle of rancid garbage. The EXPO stouts were awesome. I got a 6 pack of the 08.

Had a bottle of the '95 Expedition from that same case two years ago the night before Eccentric and it is still one of the best beers I've ever had.
