From what I understood, CCB agreed to purchase two full kegs from each brewery. Anything they brought beyond that was on them.

You mean CCB buy more beer?

However they have to make it work. I know that Country Boy... brought there kegs with them in their truck last year. So not all of it went through Taylor.

I didn’t have a problem getting a beer last year even after that. Some breweries brought the minimum, but a lot brought extra at their own cost. If anyone is on the fence about coming they shouldn’t listen to people saying they were out of beer at 2:30. It was a great time right up until they shut down at 4.

The festival has never run out of beer. It does run out beer you were looking forward to around 2:30-3 though. Then 3-4 you just drink whatever you bump into, but you're so loaded it doesn't matter at that point anyway.

This. It's unreasonable to expect every/most breweries to be pouring right up to the end, because that would be a ton of leftover/wasted beer. Unlike some other festivals, if you want to drink the whole time from start to finish with basically no waits/lines you have the ability to do so. Even towards the end there will be breweries with little to no line if you're okay with just trying things and not worrying about hype ticks etc.

I did not mean to make it sound like there was no beer after 3pm. There was plenty of beer to drink after that. My thinking is if a brewery from outside the area is going to make an effort for flights and hotels to come to the fest why not make sure you have enough beer to last until the end. It always boggles my mind. Of the expenses that brewers incur going to fests the beer is most likely the lowest cost.

It doesn't take long to dump out 10 to 20 gallons (2 to 4 sixtels) of liquid if your constantly pouring them starting at 11.

brewers who travel all that way want to enjoy the festival too so they're more than happy to run out early so they can go drink and chat with other brewers

I met some guys from a Spanish brewery at Cycle last year on Friday night. They were hammered. When they got to their booth they had no kegs. Luckily they brought like 4 cases of bottles. Once those were done they went and got hammered again.

I've tried looking for past tap lists and could only find 2012. What were some "big" beers last year?

Yeah, the link wasn’t working there for a hot minute. It is now, and I’m in. I need some friendly advice though. I’ll be flying there this year instead of driving. Is there anywhere in the area that sells 12 bottle, or any size for that matter, shippers? Going to need to send that Huna back somehow.

Get a Wine Check and just bring it back with you. It’s a lot easier that way and it will pay for itself after a few flights.

That's what I did. Definitely worth it. Bottles are safe for sure and even if TSA inspects it they can put it back together correctly without screwing it up and sacrificing bottles (which I've had happen). And if you fly Southwest, I usually have my normal one suitcase and the Wine Check is my second free bag.

They're also not allowing Huna bottle pickups at the festival so chances of them selling other bottles at the festival sound pretty slim to me.

Holy crap, how am I just now realizing this? I guess it's neat we can now pick them up early--I'd be concerned about crowd size there, but also making sure I keep my wrist band on until the fest, as well as hoping it doesn't get screwed up from getting scanned at the brewery...

I'm coming from Louisville. As for the tap list you can, I think, still download the app from last year. Search the app store for #hunaday2017. It has all the beers listed.

Another burning question; since it's moving from the park any chance we go back to real glass tasters? Doubtful but it would be nice.

The Huna page at CCB specifies "acrylic". Like downtown, the site is public property, and I suppose, as in the stadium, glass throws very easily. Let's not complain, though, the hard plastic might be replaced with little Dixie Cups.
