Hunahpu's Imperial Stout

I'd say yes! Lol.

 

We will be filming Episode 6 down there (hopefully Episode 5 - Pliny the Younger will have released by then). Plan to bring some good West Coast beer to share so look for us in line and say hi!

 

I know I'm probably reaching with this, BUT! Have any of you had Green Room Brewing's Quetzalcoatl? And if so, would you slightly compare it to Hunahpu? I love both the original and whiskey barrel aged versions. I've not been able to get down to Tampa for H Day yet. I've taken their tour, and smelled the malts used and I'm more than excited! I'll join you lucky basterds down there this year though!

 

Wish i lived in FL i would love to have some of this beer!

 

First 4,000: 3 bottle limit, followed by the next 1,000: 2 bottle limit

Bottles are $20 for a bomber of Hunahpu's Imperial Stout but I don't think the barrel aged stouts are bottled. The limit is 3 for the first 4,000 people. The next 1,000 is 2 bottles. If there is any leftover, it is every man for himself with a limit of 12 bottles. I will be one of the first in line!

 

Are there usually cases left over?

 

Yes, last year there were a bunch left over. I bought a full case myself as I was third in line. Quite honestly with the increase in production this year and the decrease in demand (sorry but eliminating the secondary market will decrease demand as it will decrease the intrinsic desirability of the beer that assigning an inflated dollar value to it does) I believe there will be beer left over for people to purchase on Monday even. That being said I will be there Saturday as I want to drink all the guest taps.

 

They are selling tokens to purchase beers from the outdoor tap stations. To avoid lines they are selling them in advance this year!

 

I went last year and was pleasantly surprised at the whole experience, so I have humongous love for Cigar City and what they do. Super envious of all of you who are going!
