I thought IPAs were supposed to be drank fresh, but I enjoyed this more than the fresh.

I really thought this thread was going to say that it tasted like a barleywine.

I was expecting a Katy Perry joke myself, and I started the damn thread.

I drank a 2008 Maharaja a few months ago, It was delicious. Oddly enough it still had subtle hints of hops hidden in with all that super sweet honeyness.

Back in the day, lots of people talked about aging this with good results. I like a good 2 year old Celebration, never had a 90 Minute that old.

I'll bite. Doesn't 2 year old 90 minute taste like cherry chapstick?

Shoulda let it get to at least 4 years old, Clearly it just goes through a phase of crappy to delicious Barleywine Honey beers.

I still have a few four packs of 90 from 2010. I think it awesome fresh but still pretty good with age. Burton is great with age as well.

    Enjoy

I'm gonna go out on a limb and guess that this year's will have less spices and hops.

I had a Hopslam that was about 4 hours old back in February, but by then it was a barley wine.

I think we did a 5-6-year vertical at one of the Bay Area tastings. Based on that I cannot fathom why people age that beer.

Wasn't intentional, someone gave me a 2010 a little while back and 2011 is still around so I figured why not. One of my buddies really wanted to do it too.
