If you are dreaming of starting a brewery...

There's some oversaturated areas and some not. NJ has 2 standouts but could probably support 5 more. Just need the right brewery to come along.

 

Many areas are oversaturated - with crappy beer. If you can reliably make world-class product, then you can write your own ticket, to financial solvency at least. I think it's being proven over and over again that entering a market with literally thousands of options is still quite possible if the product is good enough. People love to drink locally, and great local breweries and brewpubs are still so few and far between, relative to the amount of craft beer being bought all over the country, that the few that do exist really stand out.
