it is. it's in the absolute middle of nowhere and sean hill just kinda bums around and brews during the day. its kinda cool to watch, and if he's not too busy you can pick his brain a little bit. besides, you can hit the alchemist on the way down.

EDIT: just realized i forgot to put my own top 3 on here...

    1) Cantillon
    2) DFH's brewpub
    3) Russian River

I see a lot of love for Russian River. They make great beer but the facility is nothing to look at. They don't do tours of the production facility and the brewpub is a nondescript storefront.

[I'd say Hill Farmstead, but I hear it's sorta a garage with a beer counter, lol.

    [/quote]

Don't judge a book by its cover. It IS a garage with a beer counter. But what beer!

Since a visit to a brewery, at least to me, is to get some hard to come by beer or super fresh beer my picks are:
    1. Russian River
    2. Kern River
    3. Alpine

That's kinda where I went with my choices. I have enjoyed the offerings I've had from Founders, but Grand Rapids isn't exactly on my bucket list.

Plenty of places in America to go, I'll make it to some of them someday not that hard, but if I really want to go I suppose I can. Those 3 above though are a little bit more involved and much more coin. It would be a much more interesting experience hands down.

Watch out for the flies too ;) Heck the housefly in the summer should be the state bird in Vermont as far as I am concerned :)

Weihenstphaner is my daily beer and Westvleteren is my day trip beer purchased by the two case limit. I haven't yet tried Cantillon but if my two favorite brewers are on your list I will go visit your #1.

For those who are saying FFF, the brewpub is worth the trip but the brewery tour is definitely not so.

I was going to say Hill Farmstead and the Alchemist, but my girlfriend booked us a trip to Vermont in April so that's going to happen.
