@thesherrybomber , that's who I assume the poster in question was referencing as well. I just think its an idiotic statement and had to point out that the most privileged generation in US (maybe world? ) history would probably carry that epithet better and they're the ones who started craft beer as we know it (hey turns out a little respite from hardship might not be the worst thing!)

Generation X is mid 60's. Millenia
Generation X is mid 60's to about 1980. Millennials are about 81 to mid 90' s. I'm Gen X so I just naturally assume the ***** generation starts in 1981. Clearly no bias there.

I think that according to professional demographers "the ***** generation" starts either the year your next youngest sibling is born, or the year after your formal generation ends

Just as well. I tried retiring early. It's much better for everyone around me for me to work until 70. I'm a dick when I have too much free time.

Im partially retired at 63, I work to double dip, but I can live without it too. It’s a nice option to just say fuck it if the mood hits me.

Right there with you brother. I work for myself but I still have clients. That mood may hit me at any moment.

Nice, right? One day any day you just say fuck it. It’s a mental thing, and the place I work knows it too.

Wait. Am I old already? Fuck me. And don't be salty. Just find a niche and fill it. If you play someone else's game you'll never win. I'm a business consultant. Know what that means? A bunch of people think I know more than they do. Do I ? Who knows. But I sure as hell play my own game instead of someone else's.

you might be old, not for me to decide, but once you start talking shit on 'the kids these days' without anything but the same old tired stereotypes folks have been trotting out for centuries I'm gonna call you old. I agree, play your own game and you'll be a happy little clam. I haven't had a
normal job since high school when I realized I wouldn't be happy unless I could set my own hours and figure out how to get paid to do things I liked to do. Haven't had a bad month since then, bad days are a part of life but as long as you are doing something you'd do in your spare time if you couldn't get paid to do it you can't be too mad

More power to you brother. Took me a long time to figure out I need to work for myself. Every generation gets softer. My parents were greatest generation and they make me look like ass punk bitch. I can live with that. End of the day I've got the boat, the beach house, and s bunch of free time. I'm cool being called anything.

Gonna go ahead and say this is getting way too personal and intense. Everyone needs to have a drink and chill a bit. Although I do love that for the first time I'm not the angry bad karma boy.

amen to what @AWA has to say, I'm not here to argue politics. I'm glad you feel good about your life. I feel great about mine. We're all lucky to have more and better beer than was available to our parents or grandparents. And people have been hating on their children and grandchildren's generation since literally time immemorial so I guess at this point it's just a pointless time honored tradition, might as well keep it up
