I've seen various exceptions from Fed Ex, but not this one. Anyone have this one before? At least it sounds like I'm getting it back to re-ship (intact bottles anyways).

Something likely broke, they saw it was beer and are not sending the box back to you. Cool that you are getting what's left back instead of them just tossing it or taking it for themselves.

Usually the exception is damaged box when that's the case, no?

Styro shipper as well, so very surprised if something broke. Although a leak is plausible.

Perhaps it was warmer earlier this week, I don't know, but just checking out the weather right now where you are in CO... the lows are between 3-7 degrees. It's very possible you had a bottle burst, or at least a freeze/leak...

I think "damaged box" is when something happened to actually damage your box.

Guess we'll find out soon enough.

My only broke bottles was a styro shipper. Also be careful if you get the beers back, they just throw them in a box without packing or wrapping them (or very little wrapping).
