Oh ok, was thinking that perhaps the only place it was allowed was in the French Quarter.
Add places in Europe, Vegas, and Key West to that list.
My beef with public drinking is; beach, nighttime, maybe a bonfire, beer should be included on this list. Around the New England area are some decent beaches but don't get caught with beer by the DEM officers (crab cops) or they will write you up.
Spent some time at Myrtle Beach in S. Carolina, no problem having beers on the beach.
I don't know if was legal to do so or if it was a look the other way sort of a deal.
No hassle with beers on the beach in SC. It’s free and open. I’d think most police at the beach look the other way laws or not unless there’s trouble.
