I did some searching but didn't find any good thread.

I'll be in Indianapolis for a conference later this week and am hoping to pick up some great Midwest beer. Specifically, I'll be near South West Street & W Washington St., Indianapolis, which I think is downtown or near the University / NCAA Hall of Champions?

Anyhow, any suggestions on bottle shops to bring a box home would be greatly appreciated. I will have a car, but prefer not to go super far. I'm hoping to pick up some 3-Floyds, etc. Actually, I'm open to suggestions as well on what's in season and available.

    Cheers!

If the ability to drive 30 minutes one-way is possible, things will open up a bit for you.

Could probably drive 30 minutes. What do you suggest?

traveling with antilogic. Not sure of the timing, assume we may have to stay near hotel due to post conference dinner and activities. but if there is a don't miss place wouldn't mind knowing about it incase we do get out.

Kahns & Crown downtown are great.
Kahns north of the city is much better - ask for Al
Also the 21st amendments have a good selection
Go to Flat 12 Brewery - best beer & people in Indy

if you can drive then I would suggest Kahns at 54th and College as well. Flat 12 is a must downtown, I prefer it to Sun King because they have more beer on AND you can get pints and food if you want. It's a great little place. If you are interested in Indiana only brews, go to the Tomlinson Tap Room downtown in City Market, has 16-ish taps of all indiana brews. A little further north at 54th and college is Twenty Tap with 38 lines of all craft beers, mostly regional and local.

Well, there are multiple worth-while stores NW/N/NE of you guys, all within about a 30 minute straight-shot. Then, there is Parti-Pak directly south...again around 30 minutes. All have slightly different selections. Crown on 126th and 31 is easy to get to. So is Payless on 69 and 96th. Kahns was already mentioned, and may be the best decision based on proximity/selection/staff. Crown on Ohio St was also mentioned. If you hit those two stores, there is a 98% chance you'll find what you're looking for. If you have something very specific in mind, it may be worth mentioning so that we can lead you to your source.

I hate to give away my secret shop, but you seem like good people. Across the street from your hotel is the Eiteljorg Museum. I will hide a map in one of the Lakota moccasins in the Native American collection. It will lead you to all the 3 Floyds your heart desires.

Seriously, the first answer should take care of you without having to go too far.

If you make it to Flat 12, they have Flat Jack (pumpkin ale) and Jo Brahma (coffee brown/porter) on right now--a couple of my favorite seasonal releases from them. I go through growler after growler of these. They also just tapped Red Oat-tober, which is a hoppy, smooth red.

Second the Rempo comment. Send him a message, he's more than accommodating to out of towners and will almost always open up something awesome!
