Excellent thread! Lots of good info here. I'll be in Sacramento on Sunday (Easter). I'll be relegated to a lunch spot for a couple hours in the afternoon.

What do you you all recommend? Here are my parameters in order of importance:
    - Bruins game on (I know, longshot here). No other games on at this time
    - Decent food. Sandwiches/pub food is fine
    - Decent beer. I've been out to the area before, so I've had some of the big names. I'm fine with locals
    - Least amount of bros. Maybe a stretch considering #1, I know.

Sounds like Pangaea is not the spot. I'm bummed Track 7 is not open on Sunday due to the holiday. Thanks for the feedback! I can't wait to get back out west!

I'd like to commend you on actually doing a Sacramento search in this forum and not just starting another thread. You are the minority.

Not exactly Sacramento, but not too far a drive... check out Whole Foods in Roseville for the Lagunitas Waldos' Special event there. Starts at noon with lots of food specials. Probably no Bruins game, I'd guess. They usually have 8 handles or so going, and usually some good options.

They have a nice selection of bottles, as well.

Might want to give Capitol Tap Room a call to see if they'll have the game on. Mellow spot, good beer list. But you'd have to bring your own food which is fine to do there.

Tokyo Fro's is a great sushi spot 15 feet away from Capitol Tap Room's front door. I'm not sure if Capitol allows food in, but I assume they will.

Sadly, Final Gravity will be closed due to the holiday. I recommend checking out Mraz if there's no other games on. You might lose out to an A's game if its on, as the staff are huge fans.

You can usually order food from Tokyo Fro's at the counter at Capitol. They'll call it in and a server brings it over. A very good option.

Thanks for the feedback! Capitol looks like a great selection. BYOF doesn't bother me. So long as the Bruins game is on, I'm good to go.

You might be surprised, I'm sure many CA visitors use these threads, but just don't comment. They are very helpful for me at least. I'd bring you all cases and cases of Heady if I could!

You're more than welcome to bring me a 4-pack instead of multiple cases, to make it easier on you, of course.

The owner of Tokyo Fro's is a dick and (I think still) owes Kenny money, so they aren't doing that service thing anymore. I recommend another spot in the shopping center, like the Chinese place or the Mediterranean Place. Or Safeway, they have a huge deli.

The food deal is over with Tokyo Fro's for many, many reasons. Outside food is welcome. Hot City and Extreme will both deliver pizza. We should something danky on tap Sunday.

Well I guess I was wrong. Evidently it has been too long since I've spent enough time over at Capitol.

Had a great time tonight in my (and my wife's) first trip to Capitol Beer. Awesome beer lineup and great service. Hot City took a bit of time to deliver the pizza, but it was still hot and tasty. Look forward to going back many more times.

Sam Horne's was my place when I lived in Sac and I go back there every trip. Great place!

Just passing along my thanks to all for their recommendations on this thread. We had a great time at Capitol Beer. Nick was great and we got to try Waldo which was really special. We ordered from Eastern Empire next door and it was also great.
