Was very excited to split this with a friend recently and was terribly disappointed. Honestly tasted a bad attempt at sour dark ale. The infection was very obvious to both of us and, while it didn't turn out to be a terrible result, it was a big dissapointment given the beers price and reputation. Very interested to see who else is having this problem
As stated in other hip-shot threads like this one, you should really try to contact the brewery with an issue like this before you come on a public interweb forum and make statements that could hurt their business. Not insinuating that you are trashing them, just saying maybe they would appreciate the info and the opportunity to do something in a positive business light about it before this type of rumor/opinion starts circulating.
