Saw DDH King Sue at the Hyvee today. Both in the cooler and on floor.

I have tried it a few times and always end up asking what the appeal is.

Saw an aricle on this place. Looks like they put some money into it.

Picked up some Oso Cafe from Pint Nine Brewing out of Papillion NE. It ok, imo. Had to add some Kahlua to it. Didn't add Kahlua yesterday to it, but I already had a Bubba and an Easy Eddy. Cheers!

I found some DDH King Sue earlier this week in Urbandale. Hadn't heard about this but it was bottled Jan 6th and in a 16oz bottle it seemed like.

I really like King Sue and this was really good

    Hola
Yeah I get it every year but hadn't had it yet. I've just now had 1 or 2 bottles and it's pretty solid. But this is also one of my favorite styles.

In bottles this year, i think they'd done cans in recent years

Finally found some of Lion Bridge's 'Home-Baked' in the DM metro and it is fantastic. Highly recommend picking up a 4 pack.

    $12.99 for a 4 pack now.. used to be a great deal for a $11.99 6 pack.

    Will we see Parabola?

We have every year since FW started distributing to Iowa I believe.

Hop Valley also starting to distribute in Iowa; Big Grove and Singlespeed have been getting most of my dollars spent on hoppy beers as of late though.

Just haven't seen Parabola here, but have been seen by it other states already.

Anyone heard any updates on any summer beer festivals in DSM or Iowa in general? Been quiet so far.

tap tap tap . . . is this thing on?

Kinda quiet around here. I was traveling last week for work in Northern Iowa and found some beer in a store from Titonka Brewing Company in Titonka, IA.

I can't find out much about the brewery, but it was pretty good and was in cans. Which is pretty cool for a brewery in a 200 person town.

I went to Fenceline for the first time on Saturday. Didn't like any of the three beers I had.

On a positive note, I've been loving everything I've had from Blackstack, Modist, Equilibrium, and Weldwerks

Pequod is absolutely crushing it on the new beer distro. Blackstack and WeldWerks are taking up alot of my fridge space.
