Looks like Double Bastard and Lukcy Bastard bombers will be hitting Iowa this week.

Was both happy & sad to see Levitation Ale in the cooler section of the Estherville HyVee this afternoon. Happy to see Stone way out here. Sad that it was Levitation. Was hoping for some Pale Ale or IPA 6ers.

I guess I was told some wrong info, I did not get them today as expected. Hopefully next week.

You know craft beer has arrived when I can walk into a HyVee in little Estherville, IA and choose between Ruination, Stone IPA and GF West Coast IPA. Life is good:slight_smile:

Can anybody tell me based on bottle dating if it is a new release or left over from the original release? Can't find anything from Stone saying it has been brewed again, and BA still says brewed once/retired. Thanks!

Awesome. Thanks all, and apologies if a simple search of the forums was all I needed to do, I thought I had tried that!

I am psyched that this is back! It is my favorite of the Bastards and I think that it is definitely better than the sum of its parts.

I thought it was fantastic as well. Did you ever have the SN grand cru (green label, I think)? I think it was a similarly blended concept, and I thought it resembled Lukcy a good bit, at half the price. Anyway, agree it's the fav Bastard, and a Voltron of its parts.

Don't expect these in eastern Iowa for awhile.

Yes I did get to try it and enjoyed SN Grand Cru! What is/was the price point difference? I don't remember Lukcy being much higher than other Stone beers, and remember the SN 30th beers being a bit higher priced than other SNs.

Yeah, lucky is only $6.39 where I purchased it

I recall that SN series being prohibitively priced at something like $15-ish. Makes $6.39 a bargain.

Just picked up a bottle of Lucky Basartd in Lansing, MI today! Enjoying it now. Glad to have it again - pretty much as I remembered it. Thanks Stone!
