Im somewhat new to the craft beer world and this season was my first experience with the BCBS craze. Until couple weeks ago, BCBS was only a legend to me and I never thought I'd ever get to try one let alone see one in person. When I heard it was gonna be available at my local bottle shop in Philly on Black Friday I made sure to rush over to pick up few bottles and not miss out on my chance and luckily I managed to score some. One week after Black Friday I went back to the beer store for my routine beer shopping and noticed they still had several 4 packs of the original still there. Now today (2 weeks after the original release date) I went back to the store and again they still had plenty of BCBS still available. Is this normal for this brand to still be available? I always thought this beer was so rare and prized that it sells out the first day it becomes available everywhere. I know as well that this supply was still part of their original shipment too. Are BCBS all sold out in your areas or do u still see them still available some places too?

    This is what you do:
    -Buy the rest of them
-Send them to the Metro Detroit Area

Really though, some counties have not gotten any regular BCBS.

The BCBS will hang around the longest (plus they have the most of that), good luck finding the Coffee. The Barleywine was the easiest to find after the regular stout, then the Backyard Rye, and the toughest to find is/was the Coffee.

Im thinking the price might have been really high, and sold by the bottle. I snagged a bottle last year in Philly for $9 and if it wasn't my first, I never would have paid that... That might sound outrageous to some but these places are also the types to sell a $6 bag of chips and $10 packs of smokes.

No BCBS in NH, at least not yet.

It sold out fast in MA though (although I'm sure there are some obscure places you can still find it there, it just sold out quick in the handful of places there I go to like the CBC's, Redstone, Julio's, etc.) , I was only able to get one 4 pack. I didn't see any of the varieties at all either, just the standard BCBS.

Still a decent amount in most of my favorite stores plus a bunch of beer stores still have it on tap for growler fills.

Yes, regular is still available on the shelves or back rooms of many stores. Variants snatched up the first day they become available.

Most stores around me don't have any regular left. The variants? A lot of liquor stores here didn't get them yet...still waiting. Once the variants come on through, I'm gonna snatch em up!

Coffee gone in a flash in my area, although regular BCBS is still around. I imagine you could find some singles of the barleywine if you asked around.

SoCal seems to be mixed. Some bottle shops recently got a case (maybe two) of regular and sold them by the bottle. Very limited and were gone the same day. Other places like BevMo still have it on the shelves in 4-packs ($23.99). Doesn't seem very common.

I think we've still got some regular around town. Coffee was only a handful of cases (so far?) for the whole Phx-Metro area and that sold out instantly. BW lingered a bit but I think only because everyone assumed it was sold out.

This was nothing. You want to see a real shit-show, just wait until Founders KBS comes out in March/April!

To answer your question, it's all gone here in Northern KY. We got very little this year (a fraction of what we usually do). Moreover, all of southern Ohio drives across the river and comes down here to buy it (it's illegal in Ohio). It usually lasts a week, but because of the low distribution here this year, it was all gone by 3pm on Black Friday.

(In RVA) Last year we had so much the first batch was on the shelf for about 2 months and then another batch showed up so we had it close to 3 months. Thinking this to be the case this year I only grabbed 1 4-pack only to see it sell out in less then a week. Hoping we get a second batch in...

Hasn't gotten here yet and when it does each store is getting like, one case. One distro I spoke to is getting one case, selling $5 raffle tickets (proceeds will go to Make-A-Wish) and the winner will be able to buy the one case.

But I'm happy to hear that it's turding up shelves in NYC!
