We all know about the release or should we dare say, rare release of last year's GI Stout glass. Lately that glass can be purchased from the pub. I was wondering if this year's glass is the same or different (in style or print)? I'm guessing there will be some sort of party hence some sort of glass. If you know or have one, please post picture. Thanks

The glass is super nice... it's a Spiegelau.

Gotta be very careful with it. It's so thin!

Anyone know anything about the coffee in the pic? I'd like some of that.

The Intelligentsia coffee beans in the pic were given out to the people who waited on line during Bourbon County Black Friday, as was the glass (at least in NY).

Is this glass a bit larger than last years? Looks it to me, but.

Yea its a bit larger, taller, and glass is very thin and fragile.

and they'll sell for more than that I bet.

If anyone here wants to part with the coffee beans let me know… I plan on contacting Intelligentsia, but just in case the source doesn't have any left...

Like the older snifter WAY better. Bigger ain't always better, ladies.

Hmm, from what I'm hearing it sounds like this snifter's glass walls, are about as thin as the Dogfish Head IPA glass.

Thin, yes, but more durable than you'd think. I have a set of Spiegelau wine glasses, and while I don't practice juggling with them, they've survived more accidental abuse than you might expect.

I like the new glass size, but I'd prefer the older branding on the newer glass.

So people are willing to pay 5 times the price of a glass for a logo...?? I don't get it...That glass is my favorite stout glass but the beer doesn't taste any different with a logo on it..

Glass is fairly difficult to get plus it has the logo for one of the best and most sought after BA stouts.

No it doesn't taste any better, but this is just how glassware collecting goes.

Intelligentsia said coffee beans aren't for retail sale with that bag/logo, and that it was just the El Salvador varietal listed on there. There was no beer or bourbon in there, or anything like that. That's what I was told on the phone.

My understanding is that the beans are "leftovers" from this year's release of Los Immortales that are getting close to being below Intelligentsia's grading for selling. Doesn't mean they're bad… just getting past their prime and that's why they gave them away.

A slightly different version will be available again next september. I don't care about the bag… I just want the beans for what they are.
