Ithaca Beer Co. - Introducing Box of Hops

I had all 4 yesterday and here is my ranking:

Flower Power > The Creeker > Dark Vine > Double Zilla

 

I got two cases (2x12packs) of these the week after they were packaged(Oct 11) and loved it. The only reason I haven't gotten more is because i want to let some others get a chance to try it out.

The creeker is by far my fav, pretty much a double flower power with an oniony/garlicy thing going on, the flower power is super fresh, and the vine and zilla aren't my favorites, but are definitely great beer.

zilla has a good smokey kind of almost porter thing going on, and dark vine is a malty dark IPA. and both of them leave me with a lip smacking chocolately coating.

Creeker really needs to be a year round, i would gladly snap up cases of it.

$40 and change for the cases, but with my discount i was getting them for @ $34, so i really couldn't argue with that.

Although they are all good, I would have gladly gotten double the creeker and missed out on one of the others.

 

Just picked me up a case for $44.49, had flower power before and love it. Also have had the single zilla but not the double and that was good. Busting open a Dark Vine now, here's hoping.

 

Just saw a box in my area for $20. Sounds like thats a great price but it was boxed 6 weeks ago, hopefully they were all bottled then too. Thoughts?

 

You snap that right up. It's not that old as Ithaca released the box of hops here in Ithaca on the 17th October. It ranged in price locally from $21.29 to $26.99.

 

I really hope Creeker becomes a year round release in the future. I'd probably pick it up at a similar rate as Flower Power.

Worth it, so good I grabbed a second box. At first just wanted to try, but was truly impressed. All 4 styles are really outstanding.

 

This needs to happen. Creeker is phenomenal.

On another note, I found a bottle of double zilla and dark vine hidden in my fridge for the last month and popped open the vine tonight. The previous ones I had were good dark IPAs, but this one had a Very heavy duty grapey/raisinish/pruney flavor to it. Not as much of the hoppy as before, but I think it was much more interesting this time, even though I'm mainly a hops guy. Tasted exactly like something(non-alchohol) I've eaten/drank before but cant quite place it.

Gonna pop open the zilla tommorow and see if that changed at all.
