These are good problems.
Knowing is half the battle.
Starting with a Brooklyn Black Chocolate Stout and now that I know what day it is, I will prob end up picking up some Espresso Oak Aged Yeti... yum!! (Glad I am off today!!)
Black Tuesday '11 from the bottle and then Black Note from the tap
Wish I'd known this yesterday when I cracked FBS, SN Stout, LH Milk Stout and a Guiness Foreign Extra. Maybe I'll do that whole rotation again tonight....
Central Waters 2011 Bourbon Stout.
I made these about a month ago - insanely delicious.
Got plenty of stouts in the cellar. Thought about Tart of Darkness but it's an American Wild Ale and doesn't count for, um, things on certain social beer websites.
There's also a Southern Tier tap takeover in my town tonight. Might just go down the whole ST stout portfolio tonight.
I have a yeti that I wanted to sit on a little longer, but I think today might warrant it.
I do have a beer camp oatmeal and a heavy seas peg leg in the fridge, but I'm hoping I can go to the store and get a growler of something good later today.
Guinness Foreign Extra for me.
2010 Ivan the Terrible...2010 Abyss...2010 KBS...sweet dreams
Bear down! Big game Sunday night
I'm trying to decide between an 09 Stone RIS and a Brookly BCS from last year.
On a Thursday? I don't think I'll have time to drink tonight. International stout day will be postponed until tomorrow for me.
Just finished a Boulevard Dark Truth Stout, now im drinkin a Founders Breakfast Stout , next up is Bells Expedition Stout, then Oskar Blues Ten Fidy. Never had ten fidy.. Looking forward to it.
Yes, Yes it is!! We need to crush Houston. Prove a point.
Got an 08 bcbs queued up, but I might change my mind by this evening (ba boris and big bad baptist are both tempting)
I would say how i feel about this but i dont want to thread shit..
Just picked up some Schlafly Coffee Stout and Bell's Expedition for after work.
And go Bears!
I took a walk to Coastal Wine and Spirits here in Branford, CT this morning in honor of the occasion. It was approximately 3.5 miles round trip on mostly snow covered sidewalks (grrr) and well worth it to pick up a 4 pack of Young's Double Chocolate Stout and a bottle of Samuel Smith's Imperial Stout. I am now set to enjoy the holiday and the footy.
Think I will start the night off with a Bitches Brew, followed by a 2012 expedition, and a nice night cap of 2012 Darkness
Peche Mortel, for sure.
Im gonna try to squeeze in a ten fidy or dark truth, got a busy day today.
Founders BFS most likely due to only having one beercamp stout and Narwhal left.
Guess it's a good day to have my first Expedition Stout then.
Most likely the Stone/Iron Fist/Ken Shmidt Mint Chocolate Imperial Stout, but I also have this Stone Belgo Anise RIS staring me in the face. Maybe I'll roll a die to determine which one I actually end up drinking.
Well if my local package store get it in today i will be drinking Seirra Nevada Narwhal for the first time...CHEERS
Starting with a Hawkshead Dry Stone Stout. A 4.5 ABV oatmeal stout (cask) which had that burnt porridge flavour I like in an oatmeal stout. I'm clearly getting too used to export and imperial big stouts as it felt a bit light - remember when 4.5 was a fairly normal stout ABV?
Have some Old Ford Export Stout from Redchurch and Old Chimneys Good King Henry Special Reserve 2010 in the fridge for later...
bourbon county for me!
I've got an 08 Avery Mephistopheles that I was thinking about cracking. Anyone have experience with this beer with this much age on it? What should I expect?
Happy International Stout Day Everybody!
About to crack open my last KBS, then onto a BCBS. Maybe a Cognac Impy Sweet to cap it all off.
2010 World Wide Stout for me.
Likely going with Bell's Cream Stout or Dark Horse's One.
Either a '11 GL Blackout or BA BORIS
Stouts are awesome but having a lot of the heavy ones at one time can get a little cloying, I always ameliorate that effect with a nice IPA!!
I'm sick so my palate is off.
Homebrew Breakfast Stout Clone Trial night.
Same here.. But still feeling pretty good right about now!
