Out at lunchtime for pints and a meal-where we go depends on the weather.Utterly spoilt for choice when it comes to picking good pubs. Trip over one every mile or two in the country.ALL our local pubs serve cask beer.

Got some reduced to clear Weltenberger Anno 1050 and Kelham Island Night Rider today. Thought i'd splash out and treat myself to an Einstok Icelandic White Ale too. Not bad all in all for under a fiver for the lot.

Lucky coincidence I guess. Thanks for the top of the range thinking though.
Actually kicked things off with an Odell IPA which is always a good move. Once the spice is fanned down its be the Double Simcoe by nine.

Too right! Though I've now moved on to a Brewer's Droop (Marston Moor) - hope it's effects aren't too pronounced.

Sainsbury's Basics Bitter is actually very good if you factor in the low abv and low price into it. Very quaffable lol. Makes a good ginger beer shandy too.

Had an afternoon at the Sussex Arms, Twickenham Green before the Quins game. On cask I had Rother Valley - Choclolate Porter (average), Batemans - Lincolnshire bitter (boring!), Hopdaemon - Dominator (malty and hoppy - really enjoyed this!), Oakleaf - IPA (this had a decent hop profile and I'd go for again) and Thornbridge - Brother Rabbit (good hoppy Thornbridge fayre!).

Pint of Dark Star - Golden Gate in the 'spoons after the match and a half of Westerham - Audit Ale (a tad alcoholy at 6.2%)

Up the local for Sunday lunch later, landlord told me he was getting some Dark Star products in when I was there earlier in the week.

I'm currently on a Lion Lager - pretty standard macro, but not overly offensive.

Got an Erdinger dunkel and a Mikkeller something or other coming up...

I'm loathe to join in, for sure it's fairly pointless.

    But here goes.

Two pints of Buxton Kinder Downfalll (cask) at Five Lamps, Derby.

Four pints of Magic Rock Cannonball (keg) at General Havelock, Ilkeston.

Two bottles of a surprisingly good Sauvignon Blanc.

Now about to play fast and loose with a bottle of Talisker.

    Onwards and upwards!

I'm now on a Mikkeller/Grassroots collab called Wheat is the new Hops. A sort of wheat IPA fermented with Brett. It's actually rather nice, with a clean hoppy citrus flavour and an acidic twang in the background.
