Jai Alai and Hopslam in Austin

It should be all over TX today. I am guessing most people stop getting excited for this in about a month....just like people forget that Two Hearted is still around.

 

And in Pearland

 

I’m excited to drink it with a Two Hearted. Eventually, that is.

 

I feel bad for anyone that forgets that Two Hearted is still around. I certainly don't and my fridge rarely does. Sooooooo good.

 

I’m sure a lot of people are looking for the latest and greatest. Two Hearted is to old school. JMO.

 

Not hazy enough. Too old of hops. It comes in bottles. It isn't in a generic 16oz can with a label "glued" on. You can get it in a lot of states.

Or something like that. It is a good IPA, but I don't tend to drink much out of state IPAs.

 

@obrike @aschwab I love both, but yea... about 5 years too late market-wise.

 

Oh I agree, Bells and Jai Alai would have killed in TX 5 years ago. Now we have good options.

 

My main issue, living in Houston, is I don’t chase the haze. Usually a. HEB shopper and occasional Total Wine.

 

I don't chase anything anymore. I am just happy with my everyday six pack, but I tend to go with locals more than out of state.

Yea, I paid $16.99 for a 6 pack at Specs. Not terrible when you consider it's a heavily hopped 10% IPA brewed with honey, and flavor of the month 4 packs are selling for $22+ at some breweries...

 

What are the dates on Hopslam? Not that It's super important. Just out of curiosity.

A friend said he was drinking some on draft at Cottonwood last night...

 

I have seen it on tap, it is also at the conservatory, I was at Holler on Saturday and without a car so walked over and had one while waiting for my ride, they also had Jai Alai on tap. Have seen the Cigar City beers everywhere in cans, but only Hopslam on tap

 

It is in Houston, bought 6 pack today and now I'm set for Super Bowl Sunday

 

Already another new batch of Jai Alai. Lovin' it.

I tried it and liked it. But I have not bought any since. I have wanted to try the Hopslam and found it available for growlers, but it says it's "w/honey". Anybody have the Hopslam with honey?
I am tickled about the Jai Alai for sure and it's now available up in Tarrant County.
