I'm getting a fam member to score some for me. What does this normally run for a sixer/case/etc?
Depends on where you are -- the brewery has 6-packs for $11 and cases for $44, and most grocery stores in the area are around that. GA may have lower pricing, especially by the case.
8 bucks? holy shit. where?
Wherever they get it, remind them to check the canning date on the bottom. Jai Alai is best when it's super fresh!
same for almost every beer
Agreed Gunhaver. Unfortunately have had friends/family pick some up for me multiple times without checking freshness. Lots of old Jai Alai, even bottles, still sitting on shelves in my area.
That's dirt cheap around Tampa. 10.50-12 would be what we pay around here, with most places being 11 or under.
I guess I just forgot since I'm only there during summer and Christmas but $9-11. I remember Total Wine was like $9.99 and Publix as well I thought. Maybe my memory is off.
It's typically $10.49-$10.99+ tax
$11 at CCB.
I've never seen it lower than $10. If you do, please tell me where!
Have them check the dates, the go all over the place depending on locations from what I can gather. This brew is time sensitive, I have some 3/27 in my fridge and it's terrific, I've had some older cannings and it sucked. Hard to believe this is a 7.5 ABV brew, it's about as smooth and balanced as any IPA can possibly be, I kinda wish it was really more a hop monster though..
I normally pay about 10.50. Just grabbed some Jose Marti at total wine for 8.99.
Saw it on sale a few months ago for $9.99 a sixer in South FL. Usually it is $10.49 or $10.99.
I lied. I did see it in Orlando Whole Foods once for $8.99. I was excited, until I realized it was all 3-4 months old.
$10.99 a six pack at Total Wine in Palm Beach County
Does this only come in 6ers? Or can I get 12pks?
Only 6 packs
As of today it is $10.49 at Total Wine and 10.99 at Publix. I have never seen it for less than 10 bucks. The other sixers of CCB are 7.99 at both locations.
10.99-11.99 seems the going rate in orlando
12 packs will eventually happen
Am I the only one having a hard time finding jai alai? My beer guy is telling me that he has had an order with his distributor for about a month but they are going so quickly and haven't been able to get him any. I can't tell if he is lying.
^Your not the only one. There is some kind of "shortage" right now according to the bottle shop by me. I haven't seen it for weeks...
Where are you in Florida? It's all over st.pete area. They just started selling at muvico!
Gainesville area. I am going to be down by st.pete in a few weeks so maybe I will just have to stock up
It comes and goes, but its been Fresh the last few weeks.
Publix all the way down in North Port today had plenty of it canned on 4/22. Just 3 days ago!! So fresh @ 10.49!!
No shortage here in Venice. Normally $10.49 at Publix here and 10.99 at ABC. I can usually find it 3-5 days old.
We've been having a lot of trouble getting in to my shop in Jax over the last two months. So no, he's not lying to you.
Thanks for the info. I should have rephrased it differently, lying wasn't the best word. But will be sure to stop by your store when back in Jax, Iv heard only good things
Made a special stop in Jax just for Beer:30 on my way up north. Worth it!
You're shopping at the wrong store. G'bev has a big stack of sixers canned 4/18.
Price point: 9.99-10.49
11.99-14.99 a 6 pack in the panhandle, and right now nary a single CCB can in sight.
Jai Alai seems to have disappeared from South FL retailers for the past month or so. Publix, Total Wine, ABC, etc.... seems like nobody has it right now. Hopefully it will turn up again soon.
I just picked up a couple 6ers at the Total wine in Naples last week, they had plenty left on the shelf
I have a feeling they're still trying to dial in the right amount of production with the much-increased capacity of the new brewhouse. For a while here in Tampa after the can transition, it was hard for me to find any Jai Alai fresher than a month old, but it was always available. Now, it's always fresh (can't remember the last time I saw a can more than a week old), but sometimes not available.
Well Naples is a lot closer to Tampa. I'm talking Miami-Dade, Broward & Palm Beach counties
Greatly Appreciate the Support!
Well, I spoke far too soon.
Now that's a steal! Seriously though, that has to be near cost, if not at cost. Someone at my Target fucked up, but hopefully I'll be able to take advantage of it a few times, since it's been that price for over a month according to the tag.
Sweet deal! Looks like they're going with Hotter Than Helles pricing maybe
Believe it or not - very tough to find in Jax.
