Stopped in on Sunday. The space is really cool. Old school industrial with a state-of-the-art brew system prominently right in the middle. The Tools of the Trade Pale Ale is a keeper. I could drink many, many pints of it. Saison was solid, though it's not really my style. The Pilot IPA was more on the malty side of things. I didn't get any sort of hop complexity at all. In fact, I got more out of the pale ale, but I guess that is why it was just a pilot IPA. Can't wait to see where these guys go!

2 year olds are not allowed to drink or buy growlers. Sorry it is a state law.

Agreed. Tools of the Trade is definitely a keeper. It's hop forward yet thirst quenching and crazy crushable all at the same time. Reminds me a little like Carton BOAT (mostly in color) but significantly more mellow and less bitter.

Pilot IPA is copper in color and, yes, a bit heavier in terms of malt than most east coast IPA's these days. I did get a ton of pineapple on the nose, though. Not sure if that was just me or not.

I got more hop in the aroma than the taste. But these guys know what they're doing when it comes to IPAs. I'm really excited to see how they progress.

That's music to my ears about the IPA.

Thanks @TheHopBrewKid ! Decent prices considering they just opened. Definitely want to try their beers. Like the idea of crowlers for trading. Good to have something else to promote from the area.

Just got back from the Brewery, they now have State of the Art IPA on tap. They plan on starting canning in 2-3 months as per the bartender. I had the pilot IPA and Tools of the Trade XPA. Big fan of both, real good balanced, hoppy beers. Bought a glass as well. Seems like a really cool place.

    Nanny State BS.

Just as well, I guess, since I can't find a sippy-cup lid that fits tight enough on my son's Teku.

IMO, State of the Art #40 was drinking even better than the early kegs of State of the Art that were circulating in Brooklyn.

Are there ever food trucks at the brewery? Planning a visit soon. Thanks!

Looks like "Off The Hook!" will be the first food truck. Also...

"Beer Alert: State of the Art 54 drops today! A double IPA that clocks in at 8.2% is perfect for these fresh fall nights."

Checked these guys out last weekend, my lord, what incredible beers. The clarity and flavor on them is absolutely outstanding. Didn't get a chance to try the porter or the lagers but I've no doubt of their quality either.

So I guess the limited number of taps wasn't a problem for you.

Stopped by Wednesday evening after a day up in Beacon.

    Awesome, awesome space.

Really great beers, glad I got to try the last of #32. Wasn't as impressed with Tools of the Trade as the others.

Will be looking for them in the city
