The Mikkeller and Evil Twin drama is back...

This caught my attention on Instagram, where to two are trolling each other.

    Text from Jeppe's post:

Would love to see some proof behind any and all claims, but I'll have to settle for some  instead.

I enjoy beers from both brothers and have been to both Torst and Mikkeller Citifield and liked both places, though they were very different. Other than that I couldn't care less if they hate each other or by whom each brewery is owned.

Does one even need this crap from either side? I'd be fed up and try a dozen others breweries. Bad for both sides even if one is more 'right'.

I get defending your name but sometimes there is more to staying quiet.

I'm sure the feud is real, but I've always wondered how great it would be if they were both faking it just to draw attention to their respective breweries. It certainly seems to keep the press interested in them. As for the beer, I don't care much for either of them. I've always wanted to check out Torst but it's crazy expensive, even by NYC standards.

They're both laughing all the way to the bank either way.

Fair enough, but I think you are in the minority.

Neat place. Worth at least one visit, IMO. You can always head over to Barcade or Spuyten Duyvil if you tire of Torst.

Having been to an event a number of years ago, I'm not sure that the feud is real on a personal level but they are definitely competitive with each other.

As I am with most of my beer likes/dislikes. Nothing new for me!
That's good to hear and I do appreciate that Torst has some unique offerings, both food and beer wise. A trip to Spuyten Duyvil makes anything better. I'll always have a yearning for that place.

Well, since both "make" overhyped and overpriced beers, yet can't be bothered to actually make beer, llest their hands be spoiled, I say, go ahead, fight that fight, Brotatochipd.

In other words, fuck both of em.

"Bad for both sides?" This feud has been an endless source of media coverage for their breweries and is part of contemporary craft beer lore. Where would Evil Twin in particular be without this story to fuel interest? It has been great for both sides, to the point that I'll be far from the first person (even in this thread) to speculate that it may be, ahem, "exaggerated" for the press.

Was super excited to see both will have a space open by my NYC visit, but honestly - I don't think I'll be visiting either. Too far to travel from my stay with other good and local options along the way.

Honestly this is pretty interesting. However I think both of their offerings are overpriced and overrated. Except Michigan Maple Jesus, that's pure gold in my eyes.

I'm sure I'm not alone, but I don't give a rat's ass about these self aggrandizing exhibitionists. I used to sell Mikkeller a number of years ago and I can state that the beers are way over-priced at every level.

Seems to me they both specialize in gimmick beer. If either one makes a beer that doesn't involve fruits, vegetables or candy, I'd be willing to try it. However, they have so many different varieties on the shelf where I shop (especially ET), I don't have the patience to read all the cans to find something that I may want to drink. I am open to suggestions.
