The ID check was crazy thorough. If someone got through with mules they did an amazing job of doing it. The mules still had to get through to the website at noon just like anyone else. There's always the chance of mules but you're kidding yourself if you don't think this limited the amount.

It would be an incredible joke if they switched it up.

As frustrating as it is to see someone bragging about 24 bottles, I think this method severely limited muling, had the same guy been waiting in line he could have had as many people as he wanted with him - or worse, a group of people joining him 5 minutes before the sale of bottles and cutting the line. I'm also glad that Kane decided against a line for bottles today and instead raffled the additional sets. The release was seamless. Most people were in and out by 11:30am. Hopefully if there are leftover sets from no-shows then they will pull names from the original email list for the draw.

Totally agree - What a pleasure it was. Of course, those who weren't able to get in on the presale would disagree. It was so stress free

This was the best run limited beer release I've ever been a part of. I know that a lot of people unfortunately got shut out but everything went very smoothly. As mentioned above, the ID/ticket check was very thorough but the long line still moved quickly. You could get in and out in an hour if you were in a hurry. No camping overnight, no people drinking on their property when they were told not to and it was almost impossible to mule/proxy. Service at the growler filling stations and merchandise was great. This was the best possible way to handle this release. The only minor complaint I could think of would be no sampling but I understand why they went that route. Congratulations to Kane on the response and amazing job you did today! Good luck to all of those who entered the raffle.

And this is why you do ticketed releases. In and out was spot on today.

Thanks for a great experience today Kane. Only downside was I wanted to get at ANTEAD shirt but supposed to be coming next week. Love the hop lab IIIPA growler I picked up as well

The guy posting 24 bottles is just another example of the rampant assholery taking over these bottle releases. That being said, can't wait to go down to Kane next weekend when I'm free to grab some Triple IPA. Loved it last time they released it.

Stopped by around 4:00 p.m. to pick up my bottles and there were only a few other people there. Got the bottles and a growler of Triple IPA (truly amazing stuff - right up there with AGE, which is one of my all-time favorites; hope we'll see the Kane Triple IPA in a can one day!), and was out in minutes.

Also got there around 3pm. In and out in minutes with my 4 ANTEAD bottles and a growler of Hop Lab Triple IPA. As well run an event as humanly possible given the demand for these beers. And those crying and complaining about Kane doing this as a BPT event need to get a life.

People keep saying the triple IPA is better than "AGE." Forgive my ignorance, but what does AGE stand for?

So what if he got 24 bottles? He had to get them the hard way. Stop crying. There is nothing else Kane could have done. Every release thread is so full of grown dudes bemoaning the guy that got more then them. Life is long and unfair.

Stopped yesterday to fill growlers and get some merch....no ANTEAD unfortunately. Was in and out in 15 minutes!

Anxious to try the Triple IPA. Have some AGE as well, although I love AGE with a few weeks on it.

Grabbed a growler of the Hop Lab Triple IPA as well when I picked up my ANTEAD yesterday.

Cracked it last night. It was excellent.

Better than AGE? I don't know. I'd have to do a side to side. Though Kane's triple seemed a tad hotter to me.

Either way, it's definitely in the same league if nothing else. Absolutely worth seeking out if you like the style.

for all the whining and complaining people did on those FB threads, trolling was well deserved. I know people who have friends go to a release take a picture of everything combined just because it looks impressive.

I asked at the release. Per Kane employees: white = vanilla, silver = coconut

Thank you for attending the A Night To End All Dawns release. The variant identification is based on the color of the wax over the crown. It is not listed on the label. The variants are as follows:

Black: A Night To End All Dawns
    White: Vanilla
    Silver: Coconut
    Brown: Cocoa

Thank you again for your purchase and we hope you had a great experience at the release.

This was the best limited bottle release I've seen. Completely stress free, in and out in 10 minutes. Unlike some other breweries that make you wait around their brewery all day so you can buy more of their beer.

As far as the guy who posted 24 bottles for the sole purpose of trolling, look on the bright side: he has to go through life being an asshole, you probably don't.

thanks! my mistake for not asking, didn't realize the wax was the only difference! Can't wait to get my friends over to get into these. So pumped. Kane did a great job yesterday and think that all limited releases should be handled in a similar manner. Very organized. I know people were disappointed, but if there was a line people would have been shut out too, so either way disappointment was bound to be a part of this [and every other big] release.

Can't wait to break into my bottles, but figured i'd ask: how do you think the vanilla and cacao variants will age? I figure the coconut should be had fresh (like many other coconut beers), but wasn't sure of the other two.

I suspect there were a few people who complained about the ticket system being exploited and then asked everybody they know to enter the lottery.

There were people directly on the FB threads tagging other people and asking them to spread the word to enter for them.. Didnt cross check any of them but I suspect your right. Oh well I have one entry in there so hoping for the best but not expecting anything! Just hope that the people that do win are ones in it to actually enjoy the beer not try to resell/trade and arent bitching out of one side of their mouth while trying to take advantage out of the other!

After trying ANTEAD for the first time at EBF this past March then again at GABF, I couldn't bring myself to trade it for anything really. It is so damn good. The regular is one of my favorite for sure and the coffee & vanilla were both in my top 5 at EBF.

I'll let you know how last year's Cocao is holding up soon. I cracked my first one at my bachelor party last October and it might be the best beer I've ever had. Can't wait to give it another go

Never tried any of the variants but I did get to taste regular at the Kane Anniversary party and it was glorious. Both myself and my wife fell in love with it and really hope we get it! Can understand how it has high trading power but I agree I can barely bring myself to share it with other people let alone give it up for some other beer in another region!

Guessing most people are watching this thread for people to reply if they get an email. Thats what I'm doing. Dont think there was ever any official word on how many bottles are up for grabs. It was very vague but my interpretation is by stating BY 12/15 they expect to have word out some time today. As for the rest of the bottles, I'm suspecting it will be done as quietly as possible..

Gotta love all the sanctimonious neck beards who were sure the ticket sales were rigged (botz! scriptz!) yet have no qualms doing what they have to to rig the lottery to their advantage. Then justifying it to themselves by insisting the ticket sales were a sham, or that locals got screwed etc...

That said, I wonder when they will announce the winners.

Hoping some of you guys who got locked out of tickets, yet kept a cool head, will have fortune smile upon you.
