I'll be there around noon to grab mine. I had the triple back in July or August. Planning on getting the bottles, having a beer and filling a couple growlers.

Wonder if it will be like last Sunday where it is only bottle pickup, merch sales and growler fills. No drafts.

I wouldn't think so. I can't imagine they had nearly the same amount of tickets to go around this time but we will see. Hopefully can get a beer at least.

Are we to believe that they have the same exact bottle count for the two variants and regular? I'm thinking there are still some bottles tucked away.

Any word on why vanilla wasn't included in the second lottery?

I would agree w/ you 100%. I'm sure on an upcoming rainy day, bottles will made available.

The original announcement said that the bottle counts were dependent on yield. So, vanilla probably produced the smallest volume of beer. But that is just my guess.

well, my dreams have been dashed. Won the lottery but had a death in the family late last night and cant make it on Saturday due to a funeral. Sent a note to Kane asking if I could pick up Friday but its a no go. Completely understand, rules are rules. So close

Really sorry for your loss dude, I know there are rules but there should always be exceptions for situations. I had to have hip surgery last week and couldn't physically make it and asked for a proxy, but they said no exceptions.

I know I am speaking from an outsider's perspective, but there are things breweries do to accommodate people that go to the length many of us have done to get these beers, and I find that a little messed up that they wouldn't accommodate you. Once again dude, sorry for your loss.

I've been to Kane a ton but never filled small growlers. I'm heading up from Atlantic city Saturday and my buddy has two 32oz growlers from captain Lawrence he wants me to get filled to bring back. Shouldn't be an issue, right?

Went to bed dejected last night, woke up to an email from Kane saying I won, thankful for the chance to drink these beers as I missed out last year.

My friend also won but got called to work in North Dakota. Kane said no on holding bottles for him also so they will have some extras floating around for a rainy day.

Drinking the coconut variation tonight. It's good, not earth-shattering epicness, definitely a tasty beer and smooth - not hot at all. My only complaint is the carbonation is really, really low. I don't expect high carbonation on a beer like this, but it's basically flat. Still tasty, still glad I get to try it. Going to try cocoa tomorrow.[IMG]

My husband thinks it is attributed to the coconut oil. We are opening cocoa tomorrow. It is TOTALLY flat. Still working on it now. Still really tasty, great beer. Glad we got some to enjoy

The coconut variant has apparently had quite a bit of cracked wax from what I've heard as well. I wonder if the caps cracked accidentally.

my bottle of coconut was carbed perfectly for a stout of this style. When I drink a beer like this I want a thick mouthfeel and just a little bit of carb and this is exactly how the bottle I opened was.

None of the people that I know in South Jersey won the ANTEAD lottery including myself. Most of my buddies that live within 30 minutes of Kane won the lottery.... Go figure. Lottery-NO, hand selected-Maybe. Maybe thats why it took so long. I'm not complaining. It's nice to see a brewery taking care of their own despite the fact that most of the Kane "locals" pulled out their devil horns and pitchforks and cursed Kane up and down for betrayal. You should all be thankful to Kane for their loyalty. As for me, I'm moving. Gonna buy a house in Monmouth County so I can get ANTEAD 2016 as a regular customer! With or without ANTEAD, Kane is still one of the best breweries around.

Sorry to hear and your lost. Despite rules and what not, I would wish human kindness to shine through. Maybe @MichaelKane could help. Hope it works itself out.

If it was my brewery, I'd ship you the bottles. Customer service is a HUGE part of any business.

The conspiracy theorists crack me up on this forum. Taking care of the locals. Seriously? Do you know how many e-mails they must have gotten? They had to cross reference each one to make sure there were no duplicates and check versus the bpt sale.

I didn't get picked. I live fairly close. Maybe they should cross reference their credit card receipts from prior purchases...

I'm kidding, lets stop killing Kane, they did the best they could in a hard situation. Let's move on and talk about other things about Kane. I for one and looking forward to trying the triple IPA tomorrow

Yeah, I know 5 people in Monmouth county who entered and not a single one wne.

As far as holding someone's bottles, the situation sucks, but they just can't put themselves in a situation where they have to decide what excuses are valid and whose aren't, or even who is telling the truth.

As far as customer service goes, they're super nice and do a great job when you actually speak to someone, but they don't answer the phone even when they are open, and I've probably e-mailed them a dozen times over the last year, and the one time I got a response it was 2 weeks later (a week after the party I was trying to buy a keg for). They could certainly improve in that area.

Also opened my coconut. Poured some aggressively to see the head and it foamed up fine but dissipated quickly. While hardly any head in glass you can definitely still feel the carbonation while drinking. I also feel it's carbed perfectly. As for taste the coconut is perfect. Hits your tongue first followed by a little chocolate and bourbon. One fantastic beer. Drink this fresher the coconut is perfect now and will only fade over time.

Wow....the whining I've seen in this thread makes me scared for where the culture is heading.
To all those cry babies out there: It's just one beer release! Go grab a BCBCS from your "cellar" where you likely have 50 other barrel aged stouts and get over it.
For the record, I didn't win the lottery either and I am still alive and well

I think in the future they shouldn't give a weeks plus notice for anything as it allows people to plan how they can get around the system. I think to be fair to not just locals, but true fans everywhere, they should randomly post the links to tickets for bottles or events. That way websites don't crash, mules and credit cards can't arranged and everyone has a fair chance.

I unfortunately got shut out but am thankful to those that have or plan to share with me. I hope things go better in the future as the crew at Kane is great as well as is their beer.

I agree 100% on that. They are definitely lacking in responding to stuff like that. I had a bachelor party in September I was trying to get two small kegs to bring down. Was trying to get a head high and a ripple ideally but was open to what they had available. Two emails and two phone calls and no response. Called up carton and they answered immediately had the available keg list right on hand. They set a boat and hop pun keg on the side for me. I picked them up a few days later and it was great. I love carton stuff but it was kanes much closer location that was a lot more convenient. And that ripple... Oh so good.

Had almost the same experience to a tee. Tried to get in touch with Kane for 2 weeks about what was available, with no response. Got a response from Carton in under 30 minutes. I also reached out to both regarding a charitable donation for a local event, Augie Carton responded immediately with a generous donation, still waiting to hear from Kane 2 weeks and 4 e-mails later. I give them a little bit of a pass as a business that's probably understaffed, and open only a few days a week, but you could at least pick up the phone when you're open.

FWIW I had a handful of friends that entered (All within 20 minutes of the brewery) and none of them one. I lucked out and got a 4 bottle set on the BPT sale that I'll be sharing with them. Beer is like food, its better to share the experience than keep it to yourself.
