I know I am spending at least $100 bucks but I always feel like I am a pain in the ass because I want to know the kegged dates. Some breweries are putting best drank by dates on instead of kegged dates which I feel is bullshit. Let me decide when I feel it is best drank by.

Last weekend I was at Total Wine looking for a new keg to put in my keezer.I returned the 1/6 keg and went to the cold room and started searching thru the kegs for something good. I spotted a 1/2 of Torpedo and was pretty happy to get a 1/2 instead of a sixer which is what they normally carry. I asked the guy to have them bring it up to the front. I was going to checkout and started looking for kegged dates. I found it on the inside lip of the keg on a paper sticker tag. it was April so I said thats okay Sierra nevada beers stay fresh well. Then I noticed the 2014.My mind was blown. I looked at the cashier and said this keg is over a year old,I can't buy this. I took it back to the cold room and found another it was Sept. of 2014. WTF? How can they try to sell 15 gallons of IPA that is over a year old? I found a Pale ale that was fresh so took it but almost made a big mistake.

    Check the dates!
