    Consumption, yes. Witnessing? Probably not.

Speaking as the father of two teenagers, legal consequences are nothing compared to the judgement of your own children.

Going and having a beer at a nice kid friendly place is a normal thing to do. I would not have gone to a place where people were "acting stupid", or often "using profanity" even without my kids. Smoking in public here is illegal. There are way too many nice places to go where knuckleheads do not go. When my kids were young and we went to a brew pub, we always ate and I never would have more than 2 beers.

And most importantly-please only bring the kids if one of the adults is a designated driver!

Doesn't bother me. Most are kid friendly

Depending on the time and place, no problem at all. Some here are dog friendly as well. But there's a time limit IMO, like up to dinner time.

If I took Otis the Treeing Walker Coonhound to a bar, people would love him, but he'd be hunting for something non-stop. I leave him at home. Good ol' Lily the Lab would lay down and smile. God bless her!

If I may, I would suggest it is always a good idea to have a designated driver.

I've never had an unpleasant experience with a child in a drinking establishment. On the other hand, adults acting like obnoxious children is unfortunately something that I have experienced more than once.

There's some bars we all know that are off limits to kids at any time of the day. But I wouldn't put brew pubs and most craft placed in this class. I know we all realize we're not talking biker bars, and shot and beer joints.

I have, maybe I just have bad luck. But it seems like every time Im at a bar/brewery/restaurant even if its 10 pm, I have to watch some asshat enjoy themselves while ignoring their kids at the expense of everyone else's experience. Hence the reason I don't take my kids to bars, out of respect for everyone else.
