Well, back on point, I've been preferring Shortage to Simtra. However, I'm currently enjoying a Simtra that simply rocks. And I'm thinking it might be super-fresh. The bottling code says: KDBLZAB12. I believe this means it was bottled 12/12/12 (= 3 weeks old). Am I reading the bottling code correctly?
Who knows, those bottle dates weren't meant to be understood. I wonder who thought that was a good idea
Luckily, There is only one place in my area that I know of that sells KDBC and I haven't been burned by "old bottles"!
KDBC posted on Facebook today that their new date system is pretty straight forward mm/dd/yy.....MUCH easier amd user friendly.
I saw the post about that, haven't seen it on any bottles yet.
Cask-conditioned Simtra at The Shack tomorrow. Other KDBC beers. Jeremy.
