    Afternoon,

Looking for some insight here....two bottles of Kuhnhenn American Imperial Stout:

Bottle one says nothing on the front indicating barrel aging but says so on the back...dated 2014.

Bottle two says "2 year barrel aged" on the front, also indicates barrel aged on back, also dated 2014.

Are these the same beer? Any help or knowledge would be appreciated.

    different beers I believe.

Bottle 1: Released at 2014 Winter Solstice. Aged in bourbon barrel.

Bottle 2: Released around St Patrick's Day 2014. Aged in Irish Whiskey barrel.

That and bottle 1, bourbon ba, is *markedly* better than bottle 2!

I also agree with this. The Winter Solstice BA Stout is one of the best examples of the style I've ever had. The March one was a solid but unremarkable beer.

The 2 Year Irish Whiskey variant is drinking good as hell right now!
