Kuhnhenn Blueberry Eisbock Release

It should be interesting to see how busy they are for this. I was just there last night and I didn't see anything about the release, they don't have it posted on facebook, and the only thing on the website is an event on the calendar.

 

I was there again on Thursday, and the answer to my question was the same one I've been getting, "when its ready"

Regardless if it's released or not a trip to Kuhnhenn sounds fun.

Question though for those in the know...is this like an ice distilled version of blueberry play in the hay/blueberry lambic/other synonyms for that beer or a whole new beast?

 

A lot depends on the type of blueberries that the grower has, there are different varieties just like apples.

 

I stopped in the brewery last Saturday to pick up a couple of growlers and asked the bartender if they releasing the Blueberry Eisboch this Saturday and she said yes. I asked what the limit was and she said either 1 or 2 bottles for the first day. She wasn't sure how much was brewed, but I have heard only a few barrels.

 

Did they still have BB4D on tap/bottled? >_>

 

They are finally out of BB4D, which makes me pissed that I only grabbed a 12 pack last month. Not sure if they have it on tap or not. They do have the 4D 2011 & 2012 bottled along with a nice saison called Sol Invictus. Not sure when they are bottling more of the BB4D.

 

Dang. As long as they have DRIPA flowing again I'll be happy.
Seems they've been out quite a bit recently.

 

After posting to FB this morning if the Blueberry Eisbock will be released, they responded to me saying:

"Yes it is, along with the release of Michigan Mud."

 

They had Dripa and BB4D on tap on Thursday, as well as bottles of BB4D

 

I was there on Sunday and BB4D was still on tap when they closed.
I'm really looking forward to Michigan Mud coming back and being bottled. That beer was great when it was on a while back.

 

Interesting..Ive never had Michigan Mud before...
