I know we can't bottle share in line but will anyone be bringing any beer, or is this not something to do here?

I'm not savvy on brewery personnel knowledge....where did Todd go? I had a conversation with him a few years back at the Winter Solstice party. Nice guy.

That being said, I still like Kuhnhenn's stuff.

The bottom line is it's not allowed but people feel the need to do it every release. Unless you are bringing beer because you have a trade worked out I would advise against it simply out of respect. They also do not want you bringing the bottles inside or sitting. They make the same announcement every release about no bottle sharing in line but there is always a group of people that feel the need to break out red solo cups and leave the bottles on the sidewalk. Not sure about the logic behind this but I find it disrespectful.

Ellison is shaping up to be a lot like kuhnhenn. Some of the staples are already on the menu, wine and mead (and spirits) are coming soon. It sure is nice to have a piece of Warren out in Lansing.

What are the odds they beat Kuhnhenn to statewide retail distribution?

Pretty good, they already have regional distribution for draft.

Kuhnhenns that one brewery that always bitches about their parking situation and has the expensive beer, right?

You seem to be really interested in MI beer for someone in Germany or do you shit on threads in all regions?

Yes Kuhnhenn is the one brewery llike that .

Speaking of Kuhnhenn, did they do an eisbock release this November? I thought that was an annual thing but I can't find anything about it this year.

Not an annual release. No set schedule, but it seems roughly biannual?

Not an annual thing. They've done 4 bottled releases since 2004.

Not sure why that would be a concern. Not trolling, but seriously inquiring.

Just to be clear, bottle sharing on our property is breaking the law and puts our license at risk. We've always respectfully asked that people don't do this, and hope that everyone can police themselves. This year we will have around the clock private security to assist with it. If we don't we run the risk of never being able to do special events of any sort again. Please respect the law. Thank you.

Same reason food quality can go down if a chef leaves a restaurant. Or if a star player leaves a team.

As consumers we have seen it happen at other breweries so while everyone is hoping that it's the same quality product, only time will tell

I meant it as does anyone go somewhere to bottle share, not in line itself.

Fair enough, but he was one member of a production team, not the Brewmaster.
We do wish him the best. We are consistently tweaking to continue to improve everything on a daily basis.

Kuhnhenn just posted to following update to FB:

"There will be four bottled beers available for this weekend's Winter Solstice Celebration.
    The first 2 are:
    -Dark Heathen Triple Bock
-Bourbon Barrel Aged 4th Dementia Olde Ale

The other two will be announced in the coming days. We are still waiting for some labels to arrive from the printer so as soon as we have them in hand, you'll get the info.
(That goes for bottle count and limit as well).

This will be a mixed 4pk, at $35 out the door. Thanks for your patience; we look forward to seeing everyone this weekend!"
