Tad far for me, I'm in HB. Does look like it's close to HPB Chinatown so I'll have to try and remember.

That must be on your way home eh?

I've seen Windsor get it but as that's on way home from work, sometimes the timing isn't in my favor.

Anyone see Ironfire's Last Rites around? Super good underrated beer that is impossible to find. MR K posted he had it, but that was 5 days ago. It's a triple chocolate BBA stout.

When I first had it in 2016, I was blown away. Last year it didn't do it for me and I'm not searching it out anymore. Sitting on a few bottles of 2016 and 2017 hoping they develop over time.

I'm still enjoying mine. A wonderfully done beer especially considering the ABV. Most stouts would have a syrupy mouthfeel at that abv. This one does not. Plus it's the most chocolate-forward beer I've probably ever enjoyed. Will buy several bottles next time I see it.

I've only had the 2015 batch and I was blown as away as well. Haven't had any since 2015. Well, I did crack my second to last bottle of it in December last year and it tasted amazing. Down to one more bottle of 2015.

Any KBS sightings around Orange County yet? Haven't heard a peep this year.

Was it on the floor? Last year they held the KBS 4 packs in the back for their members only. Probably because last year was the first year we got it and in 4 packs. The managear told me I had to be a member, he ended up giving me one anyways but still...

Yep, it was in the center front area with the other seasonal four/six packs. They also had a few 4-packs on the front counter.

TW Redondo had KBS 4 packs behind the counter Friday. Any Waldos’ Special Ale sightings?

I don't like that place even though it's the closest spot to me. Like any other TW or BevMo, they keep a ton of hoppy beers out on the floor and don't seem too keen on freshness. What really irks me about this spot in particular, though, is that you have to know the secret handshake or something to get beers they keep behind the counter and I'm not kissing anyone's ass to get the beers they keep back there.

Agree. Even though my TWHB has most of the cans and bottles on the shelves they do carry a lot inside the cooler and in the back of the cooler where you can go inside and pick and choose whatever's available. I'm sure the HB does the same as far as keeping the sweet stuff in the front behind the cs counter. I can less about the sweet stuff. Just keep those ipa's available. But I think they should expand on the cooler space. It does seem like they keep the better IPA's in the cooler and let the sh!te ipa's on the shelves.

I don't do BevMo you know.

Do we now live in a world where we no longer have to have an in with the local cheese monger in order to get some KBS?

just a heads up on Costco. from personal experience, there's a whole separate criteria of "inventory" when dealing in special release, "seasonal release" etc.

a lot of these things don't show up under the normal in house inventory search & they especially won't at a specific location that didn't purchase/receive any. however, if you are persistent in explaining other local locations got the item - usually the clerk will look in the *other* remote access screens that display product (name /sku) logged *in the system* for the entire region . i've always been able to get solid leads on stuff that supposedly doesn't exist on first glance.

What's this Knee Deep Slooow Mo (6pk) all about? I just seen this pop up on some local's IG page. Anybody here try this one yet? Knee Deep stuff is usually good to great, when it's fresh. If you can find their stuff fresh these days. I figure this one is fresh since it's new.

Its a fantastic shelfie, and I picked up a four pack that I will drink over the next couple years. But yeah, not a behind the counter beer. The better question is who buys the 750's at $20 when a 4 pack cost like $25?

It is a single mosaic hop WC IPA. But really it seems closer to a pale ale. I still like fresh Breaking Bud better from KD.

On a side note Knee Deep actually did a hazy IPA the other day. Brewery only for now. Not getting much local buzz at all, crickets...... But I imagine they have noticed all the wild success from local neighbors Moonraker and Revision so they are dipping a toe in the water.

Nothing fancy at all, but Vons in Redondo Beach had Saber Toothed Squirrel and Coffee Porter from Smog City on clearance. Squirrel for $4 and Coffee Porter for $5. Pretty good deals for every day drinkers.
