Lagunitas Imperial Red vs. Troegs Nugget Nectar

i get lagunitas here in FL but havent seen imperial red. hmm

 

Haven't had the nectar. I like Lagunitas Imperial red, but it's a touch too much citrus to really put it on my all-time favorites list.

 

Haha, I had the Imperial Red the other day and my first thought was how similar it is to NN. Too funny. I think NN is slightly more drinkable though, Imp. Red seems like the next notch up in terms of alcohol and maybe flavor as well.

 

Gotta go with Nugget Nectar.

 

Might have to ask for it in stores, may not be on the shelf and very limited. Very much worth a try

 

Speaking of comparisons, I haven't done a side-by-side, but seems to me there's a lot of similarities between Lagunitas Red and BR Hop Rod Rye. Or is it just me?

 

gotta say, with NN scarcely available now and Lagunitas Imperial Red on the local shelves -I thought of Lagunitas as a contender to the title on the first sip.......

 

Lotta love for the Imperial Red in here! I'll give it a shot the next time I see it.

 

I love both, but lagunitas imperial red is phenomenal. It's got so much hop flavor and low bitterness. It's just a great tasting beer, as us nugget nectar, but gimme the imp red any day

 

I got a bottle at Wally's. I haven't seen any at BevMo or Total Wine yet.

 

I just bought a case at Wegmans in Manalapan for $51 after taxes!

 

i like both and im happy to see imperial red return to their lineup. having said that, no, no, and no. nugget nectar always.
