Can't say I'm interested in the summer lager but I am all about Little Sumpin Hazy.

All the "hazy" styles I've had from Lagunitas have been knocked out of the park.

The Summer Lager, "Lagur", has been out for weeks now. It is good.

I've only seen it in 12 packs. I guess I'm not looking hard enough.

Reading the title of this thread, I was expecting a hazy lager.

I am not a fan of NE IPA's, that wound have sounded even worse to me.

That lager is fantastic. Lagunitas fans are going to love it. The loral hops are pretty sexy on it

Traditionalists might not, but that’s not who they’re after.

Looking forward to trying both of these, although I still haven't seen any phase change.

Phase Change was decent. Pretty much a tropical IPA imo. My brother gave me a bottle to try. Not something I would seek out though.

According to the link to Lagur in the OP, other than draught, 12 X 12 oz. cans is the only way it comes. (Obviously, some retailer might break up the 12 pk into singles or "homemade" sixpacks).

Was very disappointed by it. Doesn't even come close to a Born Again yesterday.

The summer lagur is really good. Didn't try the other.

Ah, yes Lagunitas has sold other seasonal beer in 12 packs as well. I would be much more inclined to try something new in a 6 pack (or singles). I have not seen it on tap but I don't go to that many craft beer bars.

But even regular Lil' Sumpin Sumpin has always been 7%, so it's not like this is a new thing.

I know that i was just letting the person questioning whether the 'little' was referring to the (not so little) abv know that it wasn't, it's part of a naming series lagunitas has going on.

Summer Lagur is of course overpriced for what it is.

More of a Little Sumpin' Extra fan than it's little bro, but I'll sample a single.

10.99 for an American Lager style from a now Macro brewery isnt competitive with similar beers on the market that are all a few bucks cheaper.

Yeah me too. I still liked the beer though. I remember when Founders Solid Gold was released the discussion ranged from its a slightly better version of Budweiser to its just like Bud so its not worth it. I feel the Lagur is similar to that beer.

I just bought a sixer of Little Sumpin' Hazy, and it sure reminds me alot like Born Yesterday/Born Again Yesterday. Yes, I know those are different, but it seem cut from the same mold and seems very close from my memory.

Works for me, as I enjoy those beers. And not that they are that bitter but I imagine that LSH has next to no bitterness in comparison?

Not much bitterness. So at the store tonight I saw yet another new Lagunitas IPA called Phase Change which I'm assuming is going to be pretty much just another slight tweak of the same recipe? I passed tonight as I'm still working through the other 6er of LSH.

The Phase Change you saw is probably on the older side, as that was the One Hitter release this year that started popping up in May. It's a wet-hopped ale with 60 IBUs so more bitter. I didn't have it but hear it's on the juicy side so similar I suppose.

I didn't see any Phase Change in Pennsylvania, very strange. The Sumpin' Hazy is very decent, all the qualities of a regular NEIPA with a dry finish and a some bitterness. Good enough to have a few.

I saw it around here but sporadically and it was definitely not the typical Lagunitas release in these here parts in that regard.

Ah good sounds tasty and can't wait to try it!
