8% Sucks is inferior to the 7.85% Sucks of yesteryear. Miss that shit.

Bought a 12 pack today. The cardboard packaging has the Santa cookie logo, but the bottles inside have the regular 6pk splash of paint logo on the labels.

Not upset, but I save any bottle that has cool artwork and would have liked to add this one to the collection. The 12pk was sealed when I bought it and the Julian code on the cardboard matched the code on the bottle neck.

Anyone else gotten a 12pk like this?

Bought 24pk of Santa bottles from Costco. Far maltier than the recent (rare) fresh 6pk I'd found of the 'spot' bottles. Kinda bummed

What was the bottle date of that case of beer?

    Cheers!

By my reckoning that beer was bottled on October 8th so it is just a month old (not very old IMO).

If the malt level is 'high' then this is not a result of aging IMO.

    Cheers!

Probably to get people to buy Sucks by placing it in the seasonal display. I love the original Santa logo, love the jolly fat man.

Were those Santa labels or the Splat label and what was that splat anyway?

Like a lot of us I loved Sucks as a seasonal and rarely purchase it now, not sure why

I also picked up a case with cookie logo on the case but splat on the bottles. I imagine it is hard to keep it as fresh as it was back when it sold out on delivery but its still a good beer. I have only seen the cookie label bottles from California beer advocates.

Yes, Santa labels. Reason I buy it less is the challenge of finding it fresh. Thus why after finding a (rare) fresh 6er in Sept that I didn't hesitate to pull the trigger on the fresh case of the seasonal labels. Disappointed in the variability between the two experiences.

I saw the Santa logo 12 packs yesterday in my area for first time, so I bought it (first Sucks I bought in over a year because of freshness issues). I found the hops to be quite muted in aroma and didn't taste all that fresh. Still a decent beer, but I'm not looking forward to having a whole 12 pack of these. Not the same screaming citrus hopped beer I remember from years ago for sure.

FYI, Born Yesterday fresh was amazing and I'm mad that I only bought a single to try and they were sold out across town when I went back a few days later. Should have bought a 6er or 12 of those.
