So I hade a great deal of three Floyd's today. Zombie dust is worth all the hype and then some. What a great beer. I also found the black unicorn (german name to hard to remember) to be a great contender to my love of alpha klaus. As for dreadnought it is also fantastic. I have a hard time picking a favorite from fff but zd does sit on top now. I made a four hour drive to spend the day at the brew pub and it was well worth every minute of the drive.

Now that I have had zd. Alpha klaus is still a great beer in my opinion but zd is better. Jair about everything fff is great.

Olde Hickory Event Horizon - had it for the first time a week or so ago (draft), and it's no doubt my favorite NC stout. Glad I was able to snag a few bottles to see how they compare and age.

Mean Ol' Tom, from Maine Beer Co... it was a delicious stout with vanilla and coffee tones. Their Peeper Ale was great, too.

The Bruery Melange #3 - I had this at the Stone 16th Anniversary Beer Festival and then again at the Port Brewing Strong Ale Festival a few weeks ago. Also Pizza Port Barrel Aged Bacon and Eggs is excellent! :)

Tonight will be good. I picked up (another) bottle of Liefmans Goudenband at Wegman's. I love me some sour ales and oud bruins. That aftertaste lingers for a long time.

I had this out of the bottle the other night and thought it was one of the worst beers DFH released, IMO. Is it really that great out of the cask?

In DFH defense, I'm having the Etrusca right now and it's phenomenal.

There is a big difference between cask and bottle... My cask review (4.58) was 0.53 pts higher than my bottle review (4.05)... I'm a "tough grader," but thought it was fairly epic on cask - I don' t give many 4.58s... I was very scared of the bottled version based on some of what I've heard, but it exceeded expectations... Sorry you didn't enjoy... I haven't had teh Etrusca yet, but I'm looking forward to it...
