I think for me it was Odell Deconstruction. I expected it be be good, but it was so complex it blew my mind. Before that was probably either BrewDog Tokio or FW XV. Tokio because it was surprisingly smooth and deliciously complex or XV just because it was so much fun to drink and taste and pick apart the myriad of layers.

Thats not to say I haven't had hundreds of awesome brews before, since and between these but these ones will stick in my head. I mean Tokio is $12 for 12 oz (maybe 11.4 or whatever) and I have bought it twice.

Old Peculier, had it again for the first time in far too long. That many layers of flavor in a 6% "clean" beer is pretty hard to come by. So glad it's available in the states again.

Black Butte XXIV on tap this past weekend.

I was at a rather large beer tapping and it blew just about everything else out of the water. There were 100+ beers tapped including 40+ rare kegs/casks and I had this one twice.

I had Witches Brew this last Thursday and couldn't get enough of it. I regret not buying a few bottles.

Me too. Also, Peekskill Brewerys new pale ale, Amazeballs. It's up there with Zombie Dust and Edward in my opinion.

Heady Topper. One of the few beers that lived up to the hype.

That is my favorite Baltic porter. And often I can find older batches on shelves for $4.99. Love it.

Just remembered another that absolutely blew me away a couple months back: La Trappe's Oak Aged Quad (Batch 8). Like no other beer I've had.

And while we're on the subject of peaty beers, I also had Yeastie Boys' Rex Attitude recently. It's brewed with 100% peated malt. That was an experience.
