I'm getting ready to watch the Saints-Chargers game. In anticipation of a record that will likely be broken tonight, I am having a Texas beer in honor of Drew Brees (who is a native Texan). I'm having Saint Arnold Endeavour.

Having myself a '12 BCBS since tomorrow is a school holiday (we call it Fall Holiday now, not Columbus Day). So smooth.

Having a Lagunits Daytime fractional IPA.

 

I'm starting tonight off with a Jolly Pumpkin Maracaibo Especial. The date is from 11-23-10, so this is a special one, decided to open this one up to celebrate October and fall on it's way : )

 

Having a North Coast Scrimshaw before I head over to Monterey Coast Brewing for dinner with my dad and brother.

No work for me tomorrow, since I worked yesterday, so technically this is my Saturday night. And after enduring a year old Metropolitan Krankshaft that my sister had leftover from the last time I visited her, I'm making things right with the excellent Arcadia London Style Porter. It used to be just London Porter, but with the label change they also changed the name, but it's still probably the best beer they make. Great stuff.

Had some friends and their kids over this afternoon. The moms had wine while we dads had a few beers. Started with this



I forgot that I liked this. I used to be a go to pumpkin but I probably haven't had it in 2 years. Terrible value, but I couldn't resist the small growler. From there we split a bomber of Elysian Dark o' the Moon, and had a few Tumblers with my home made jalapeño cheddar burgers. Now I'm drinking water and watching tv with the wife. It was a pretty good day. Hope you guys are having a good night.

Sundays are almost always cookout night for Little Lady and I. Tonight, here's what we had leading up to lighting the charcoal. Cracked the Chicory Stout right as we started the fire.

 

Man I'm dying for that stuff, it can't hit shelves in my area soon enough!

 

Closing the night out with some Isolation Ale from Odell. This one is happily growing on me.

 

Pretty clean, sour, and dry. Not very complex, but tasty. Full review.
