Now I'm relaxing with some Troeg's Hopback Amber and catching up with my fellow BAs to see what all of you are enjoying tonight. Cheers!

Good taster, has a nice bourbon and vanilla taste up front with some chocolate and honey sweetness. Like I said in my review, carbonation would have, imho, enhanced the flavours and I reckon I would have liked it more than I did.

Couple of Torpedos from the can that I picked up from my regular bottle shop. Got home and realized these suckers were 5 months old. Huh?!?

Guess what...still pretty gosh darn good. Not great, but better than 80% of the beers I've drank.

    Cheers.

Not disappointed that I ignored the "Do not cellar" exclamation.

Yeah, I noticed that it holds up pretty damn well.

I'm sipping on an Avery IPA right now, bottled in December. It also held up well; hops have faded but they
are still there and the Malt, more of a grainy Malt now, gives it an interesting kick. A lot of American style IPAs at 7 months old wouldn't hold up this well.

Started the night off with Full Sail's Chris's Summer Delight, which was delightful. I made some home made strawberry syrup to go with it and the tablespoon of syrup really woke it up. I liked it much better with that touch of sweetness.

Followed that up with a Founders Porter. Can't go wrong with anything from them!

Well, didn't see this thread, so i started my own. Just got deleted... Would have been nice to just merge it or something. I took some time to write up something I thought was important. Glad my phone has a deep cache. Posted below.

So, didn't see this up... Figured I would toss it out.
Drinking a boxers revenge... Whiskey comes out on this one, didn't in the first batch. A bit more tart, the carbonation is tiny, and it is more astringent. This is way more complex than the first batch as well. This needs more time in the bottle imo. Good, but more time, it will be great, give the flavors more time to meld together.
