Enjoying a glass or two from a growler of Green Flash's West Coast IPA (poured tonight). Amazing!

Back in my salad days of yore, watching the good ole game on CBC (that's the Canadian Broadcasting Company) and good ole Hockey Night in Canada, I forget what game I was watching and there was the play by play, and often the fans could get a word in (the sound back then was fantastic).

I remember just before commercial break some fan (forget what game it was).. saying to some opposing team

[insert player name here] YOU F*****G P****Y!!!

Then proverbial Ron McClean that who was all good and holy then said..

World wide acoustics folks! and off they went to commercial as if nothing happened.

Good times... ah... at least my Jets are back! but then I have me Caps... tough call.

    And back to beer...

I have a bottle of Manhattan Project Melomel and a bottle of Sub-Tropical Breezes Black Tea Mead calling my name, as well as one more Bourbon Barrel French Toast. Delicious stuff. Hoping Kuhnhenn still has Vanilla Gorillabilly when I go back next because I want that one too.

I'm assuming you('ve) had/have Bourbon Barrel Sack, then? Staggering. Excited to try it cherry'd, too.

I honestly haven't. I was grabbing some stuff for a trade, plus some wines for the lady, when I decided to ask about which meads were must-trys. Being that my tab was already ridiculous, I went for the 2 that sounded the best. I'll put Bourbon Barrel Sack on the list along with Vanilla Gorillabilly. Feel free to fill out the rest of my mead list and spend more of my money. :grinning:

Started out with Founders Frangelic Mountain Brown and Double Trouble at the taproom. Had to shift to Oberon at the dive bar after. ( Karaoke with friends). I could be drinking worse things. Cheers.

Atwater Bourbon Barrel Aged Shaman's Porter. It was meh. Too much carbonation and thin for a porter.
