I'm on my second glass of this. Which must mean I am enjoying it twice as much!

It truly is "late night" now isn't it? I better dig up something nice for the occasion.

    Ok then...

For those who missed it, I had a Struise Cuvee Delphine, which tasted like Black Albert (either 4 Roses barrels suck or Urbain is doing it wrong...)...

...and a Hoppin' Frog Sweet Evil, which did not taste like Naked Evil (in a very sweet, very bad way...).

Really? I had a Cuvee Delphine and a Batch 0 Black Albert side by side and noticed a huge difference. Unfortunately not a ton of bourbon notes, but they did taste like different beers to me.

Sweet Evil was ROUGH. I'm glad it didn't cost quite as much as Naked Evil. Borderline drainpour.

Interesting - either bottle variation or I am incompetent. It seemed slightly smoother and slightly sweeter but if I didn't know it was Cuvee Delphine I probably would have just thought it was Black Albert...

I feel inspired by this thread. Wait until midnight, that's when the true BA's show their colors! I'm still waiting for mine to chill. It's nothing special but I'm still excited! :grinning:

Alright. Recap. Got off work function. Drove to FFF. Picked up BA Cognac Moloko. Drove back and made it just before a HUGE thunderstorm hit. Now cracked a Pipeworks Blood of the Unicorn. I'm slowly falling in love with this brewery.

I was trying to comment on Davey playing some Less Than Jake, approving of it as the last thread, well, went 6 feet under. Following up the ska love. I'm a ska kid at heart.

Oh, I loved moloko. But aging a milk stout is kind of a bad idea with those lactic acids. Not sure what barrel aging will do, especially a cognac barrel.

Perhaps I should change my post. When I drink Moloko, all I taste is coffee.
