I'm sure I'll get hate for this, but 3 Fonteinen Oude Geuze. It made me realize just how much I hate geuze. Couldn't do it. Like a mixture of cat pee, lemon, and stomach acid.

A fresh Pliny the Elder. Just because I could. Then lit my cigar with a hundred dollar bill.

As a rule, I drain pout the first bottle of any purchase. Can't be too carefull.

Does putting a beer back on the bar count? I ordered a Buckeye Brewing IPA (not sure if that's the exact name, but it should give you an idea) at a rehearsal dinner in Cleveland a few months back and it was probably the worst version of the style I've ever tried. My brother in law was familiar with the beer and agreed its terrible.

An entire sixer of Erie Dereailed. I love that stuff, but there was something wrong with this batch... Tasted like cold tomato soup. Took a sip of each one to make sure it wasn't just one.. It definitely wasn't.

Punishment earlier this afternoon, I legitimately tried to find some aspect of this beer that is redeemable, but I couldn't go past the third sip....worst 18 dollars I've spent in a loonggg time. In my opinion Double Bastard is a masterpiece and sets the standard for the "American Strong Ale" category. Is it gimmicky? Sure, but that's forgivable seeing as how its a world class brew, but punishment takes the gimmick and runs with it to the point where all that's left is Greg and his ego.

Lol I'm not bitter at all :grinning:

A friend of a friend put together a 24 beers of Christmas case, and I bought one. I don't know the guy and I really hate to come off this way, but in many ways, I don't know what he or she was thinking on some of the choices. Anyhow, when I saw Horny Goat on day number 13 I began to worry. My drain pour - Baby Got Bock by Horny Goat. Triple Yuck.

I had a Bronx Pale Ale in Brooklyn at a bar. Asked the bartender to drain pour it in front for me and not recommend this to anybody else. he sipped it, winced and grimaced at the same time and then drain poured it.

Got it in a trade with Event Horizon (a very underappreciated beer on BA) and a few other things. This was a syrupy mess. I think it was close to its enjoy by date, but I can't imagine it being that much better fresh. Was not a fan.

Griffin Claw's Norm's Raggedy Ass IPA. I know it's "Award Winning" but to me it tasted like straight pine and black pepper. I had it in a can that I know was fresh. I'd try it on draft still.

This. Tasted almost exactly like the worst homebrew I've ever created too. At least with the box of hops I only had to get through 3 but did drainpoor the last one. Dark vine was suprisingly good and I loved the Creeker.

I poured Left Hand's regular milk stout (not nitro), but I haven't tried the nitro. I do like that beer when I've had it on draught though.

Most recent drain pour was Guinness Extra Stout (Canadian import). Just pruney, and I really wanted to like it, but couldn't get over the sensation I was drinking some kind of malted Concord grape juice.
