How long after canning date was it that you consumed it? 2013 Wet was not as good as previous year's, but need's to be drank relatively soon. The hops fade a lot quicker in wet hop beer.

To be fair, I've never had the first two. Would love to, though. Big fan of the other three. Not so much the King Cobra.

Yeah, that was just off the top of my head. Later I'll pull out my drain pour reviews. I judge by fastest pour, height of splash, clogging of garbage disposal and effectiveness as a drain sanitizer.

Excellent points. For my drain pour reviews I also like to rate "lack of self awareness". Still shooting for perfect 5's. I'm saving one of those Hair of the Dog Dave's I got at auction for a couple of grand for a special occasion drain pour.

I've had two drain pours in the last year: Magic Hat Wooly, and Short's Gingersnap. Both beers absolutely tasted like the elements the brewers intended, to an extreme level.

In fact, I just went and lowered the rating I gave to each beer. Just thinking about them is causing my tastebuds to take shelter.

And I am also looking for that elusive drain whale. It will be tough to top yours.

Last drain pour was around 1995-John Barleycorn Barleywine. No matter how bad a beer may be I am not pouring it out. I have had very few if any I would consider "bad" anyway....

Y'all did catch the part about those being old IPAs right?

I mean it's not like I didn't enjoy any of each different beer there. They were like the last one or two from each sixer or more. Yeah it sucked, but lesson learned after going IPA-crazy over the summer.

I can power through most anything. That said, the most memorable drain pour I've had was an Atwater Block Vanilla Porter a few years back. I remember it like it was yesterday. What a crapper...

Oh ya, and more recently, a Lancaster Hop Hog...not good...

My last drain pour was a few months ago - Peruvian Morning. Super infected.

Before that it was Ballast Point Indra Kunindra, I just couldn't handle the spice level.
