And just after my F it post, I was able to pick up a bottle of BA Jones Dog at Archer Liquors. Say what you will about their points per purchase, but I am a fan. It enables frequent customers to pick up some of these harder to find beers, even a day or two after release. Hell, I was able to grab some BCBW 3 or 4 days after their initial release.

I know it'd be a pain in the ass to implement/manage for a larger company, but it might be nice to see a place like Binnys that has a card system in place use it to limit how many of a certain release a person can get and have some sort of a tiered access. It would reward loyalty and help the poor stiffs who can't drop their responsibilities at 10am.

    Flame away....

I applaud your self-righteousness but they aren't doing anything illegal. They are just bros who have their priorities mixed up.

Just (15minutes ago) stopped by Binny's Algonquin and picked up Hyper Dog, Jones Dog and End Of Days, they have one case of each behind the counter

Saw them at Binny's LP behind the counter and asked. They are releasing them at 9 a.m. tomorrow. Go line up now you fucking animals.

Already there. Lingering line (or as linear as lingering can possibly be) has formed in the gluten free beer aisle. They have promised to keep the lights on through the night. Binnys really need to have 24/7 stores in this new era.

I wasn't meaning anything negative to your post...just making a comment about how fast they probably would've been gone. Lucky for you that you got some!

Agreed. I am a big fan of the Archer Liquors point system. I'm done chasing BA beers around.

So let's get this back on track. I see some checkins on Untappd for BA EOD and BA Hyperdog. Anyone here popped a bottle yet (not tried on draft)? My one complaint with BA Pipeworks is that they can be very hot when fresh (I prefer my BA stouts to not be bourbon bombs). And these two in particular I don't want to age long because of the spice/coffee adjuncts (which makes this question a bit moot). But just curious how hot (not pepper hot) these are out of the gate.

So if the shop owners start to tire of these "lingerers" they could take one of 2 courses of action:
    1. Old School - "Buy something or get the Hell outta my store!"
    2. New Age - Stream a live feed of them and call it something like LoiterCam...

All good , just a little poke back, I actually went to post it as I walked out of the store but was auto logged off so decided to wait till I got home, In fairness I stopped by there in the morning and then called at Noon, then drove by at 1:45pm so I was stalking it today since I had the Day Off

BA EOD was quite hot pepper wise not bad barrel wise. A bit too much pepper heat IMO but still a tasty beer. Pepper heat was dominant on the back end

Hmmm...Not what I was hoping to hear. You think this one should stay in the fridge/cellar/whatever for a few months?

Hyper was a lot of coffee. Very good, but the coffee completely covered up everything I loved about Jones Dog. Wasnt barrel hot thought. Might need a couple months in the fridge for the coffee to balance out.
