Latest Pipeworks Releases and Updates (2018)

I had BA Coffee Abduction last night. Maybe the best BA Pipeworks Beer I can remember. Great barrel flavor but not hot as may have been the case at release. I actually preferred it to Port which I had last weekend.

 

Hard to compare. The coffee & port are both insanely good.

 

Smore Money, Smore Problems on draft @BadApple was great this past week, glad I finally got to try that bad boy. Sadly (?), my wife drank it more quickly than I did. Delicious stuff...

 

Another Port winner. Ruby Port Murderous was fantastic based on small sample. Can't wait to open a bottle this weekend.

 

drinking one right now at Kuma’s. very delicious. my consolation for missing my window at the dojo on saturday.

 

I found the "regular" bourbon barrel aged Murderous to be pretty sweet when I cracked it last night. I'm a bit apprehensive that the ruby port version would be VERY sweet...what did you two think about the sweetness level?

Correct. This is what they told me when I went there last Friday. Last 6 weeks were in Port barrels. Same thing with Brandy version, final 6 weeks in those.

 

right on. i didn’t make the connection until reading the drinks menu “Port Finished BA Barleywine” - was initially thinking it 100% Port BA’d

 

also had a Hypster Beast and a Scorched Tundra. when in rome i guess..

 

second this. BA coffee > Port. my favorite BA pipeworks behind Encore.

BA coffee is noticeably better than the other coffee stouts I've had recently as well.

nothing game changing but really solid. worth picking up.

 

i liked it. not as juicy as hypster beast but very drinkable and enjoyable.

 

agree. Lots of flavor for a 5% abv beer

 

Also, looks like we’re getting an Oktoberfest this week, according to their Instagram story.

So, I was most excited to grab the various Murderous BA varients...but I also grabbed a bottle of BA The Last Kiss. Compared to the "regular" bourbon barrel aged The Murderous, the bourbon barrel aged The Last Kiss is WAY better to my sorry pallet. Caramel, vanilla, sarsaparilla, chocolate syrup, bourbon & oak flavors; somehow less sweet and less boozy than Murderous.

There was either no limit or a 4 bottle limit on The Last Kiss; I'll be out of town this weekend but I really hope to grab 2-3 more bottles of this when I return.

In two words: don't sleep.
