This may surprise many, but seriously, on our trip right now in NE (14 breweries and counting this week) the beer that really blew me away most so far... Sam's Boston Lager.

Have not had it in years... Fresh at the brewery, wow. The hop aroma, balance and flavor of that beer was exceptional. I need to find some fresh bottles at home and see if it compares. What a wonderful beer.

Fresh Boston Lager at the brewery is one of my favorite beers of all time. Such a perfect beer.

Had it once before at a bar and was not impressed. I did, however, notice it was a good deal past it's BB date. Fast forward, I picked up a 6 pack of fresh last night to give it another shot and was pretty blown away by it. Never had a saison taste like it does. So much going on in that beer. WOW, indeed.

Really impressed with Half Acre Navaja! Not a huge fan of most of their brews but this will be one I will buy when I see it!

Great divide hibernation with a year on it. I love that beer fresh, but damn does it age well. It's a yearly case purchase for me and I might just have to buy a little more for aging this year.

Jack's Abby Calyptra was a nice surprise. Wish they had a wider distribution footprint here in NY. Very interested in trying more from this brand.

Vicinity by Trillium, I picked some up at the brewery a few weeks back. They were super fresh at the time as they came out just 2 days before I was there. Initially they were good but I was very surprised when I popped one last night. It was very good fresh but now with a few weeks on them its in the upper tier of best IPA's I've ever had.

I've had a few "WOW" beers lately, but the one that stands out in my mind is Rapturous from 3 Taverns brewing out of Decatur, GA. It's a raspberry sour and it is absolutely AMAZING!!!

I just spent 3 weeks in Boston and was amazed by all of the Trillium beers. Having to pick just one, I would go with Galaxy dry hopped Fort Point, but they were all incredible.

Most recently I was also fortunate enough to try Vietnamese Speedway Stout. I thought this was absolutely incredible. I love Speedway Stout, but I was amazed at how much different (and better in my opinion) Vietnamese Speedway Stout was.
